As the topic says, it's up on the Xbox One UK store. 40.27gb. There's a Gold edition which includes a season pass, with Jack The Ripper as picture.

Stab topic to death if old.

That is about the same as Unity, so no real surprise there. Less than three weeks now, can't wait!

By the way, if you're ordering in UK you might want to change console region to United States and order from there - aside from being much cheaper, it releases 4 days earlier.

Do we have any info on the games performance yet?

I'd love to pre-order so I can start the download but if its similar to Unity I might wait till we get an analysis.

What's stopping you hookin up 5tbs like I did? Will last you for gens to come.

For real man, a 2 tb external HDD is like 80 bucks. Just grab a Western Digital My Passport Ultra 2tb and hook it up to the Xbone. It's usb3.0, and according to Digital Foundry it actually outperforms the default 5400 rpm drive in the Xbone, so it's really a win win.

It's great you can have external/ larger hard drives in these machines. What isn't great is the need to do that after owning a certain amount of games.

We'd still be saying the exact sam thing if they came with 1TB drives too. At least the rate I've been buying games.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this the "fundamentally unplayable" game that was hinted at a few weeks ago? I remember seeing something about it being confirmed to be this.

Anyway that's a big damn update plus the I'm sure 5GB day 1 patch.

It was certainly hinted at, but did we get any proof it was this game? As much as I dislike ubisoft, I really doubt they would rush another outing to market after the unity shitstorm.

Or, dont. Buy from the UK store as then you can at least get a refund via the new consumer rights law for it being a broken game if the reports are true.

Yeah, I´ve seen something like that aswell.

Here´s hoping that Ubisoft pulls the same move as THPS5 and release a 45GB Day One Patch to fix the game.

Seriously though, if this is the broken game they were talking about, oh man...it´s going to get ugly.

That was the hint, and the same outlet made a video stating how bad the performance was, yet had no footage to back it up. Meanwhile on the same day countless YouTube channels uploaded many hours worth of their own play sessions from the same event, and any performance issues were pretty minor. Just do a search on YouTube for the game, and you'll find a ton of footage from about a week ago.

Good point.

And if you preorder digitally in the UK, Microsoft now allow you to cancel the preorder (there's a section on their website now).

Why? Wouldn't this game in particular be a good moment to throw the british a bone?

Or just wait until the game is out and watch/read impressions and reviews. Even easier.

We've already had conflicting reports. I don't think the game deserves the benefit of the doubt; nobody should be pre-ordering after last year's debacle.

Was Unity that big? Not at my PC right now but last time I checked it was about 30gb-ish, no idea on XO though.

Fuck these 500gb consoles. X1 and PS4 shoulda had a TB day one.

For me regardless of the size I'd end up filling it up anyways. Couple that with having shocking internet having a small HDD size I could understand it being a kick in the teeth but I've got 2tb+ of stuff installed via Steam, Origin and Battle.net that believe it or not I regularly go through.

Either way the money goes to Ubisoft, you know the French company.

Unity PC is, including DLC, a 45.1GB download/50.7GB install.

Edit: Excluding DLC, the install size is roughly 42.8GB.

500GB is a pathetic amount considering a lot of games are coming out as 40-50GB and some of the 500GB isnt even available to use(atleast on X1, something like 350GB is the actual hard drive space).

AC Unity is 47.57GB on my PS4, so this would actually be smaller!

Have there usually been any big differences between Xbox One and PS4 install sizes? I just remember Wolfenstein being huge on every platform.

You're comparing a year old game with all the patches + DLC etc.

I think it balances out because, you can't remove the internal hard drive from the Xbox One like the PS4, right?

PS4 HDD is encrypted and tied to the PS4. Xbox One external HDDs are not and you can have multiple connected and you can take it to a friends place. If I wanted to I can have like 10tb hooked up. They also perform faster than the internal HDD.

Well I guess that is a problem if you want to take something to a friend's house, but I live in Japan with godly Internet and cloud saving, so it's no big deal for me.

Don't mean to brag when I say that. Just never realized that it would be a problem for some.

500Gb is absolutely fine for the vast majority of people, and anyone that needs more space can easily get it on either console.

How many games do you think the average person owns? And how many people do you think have a problem with deleting a game they haven't played in ages?

People said the same thing about 20gb and 60gb consoles last generation.

Adding to your existing HDD space will always be better than replacing your existing HDD space regardless of what console you are talking about.

Yup I don't get the complains. I also want 6 cylinder car instead of 4 but I know it also cost more. I am not saying why they didn't put 6 cylinder car in cost of 4 cylinder one.

Its viable for the company now so they are selling 1TB version after almost 2 years since launch.

I have 4TB hooked up to my Xbox, paid $120

are we really trusting sponsored youtubers? if their playing early copies of it, i don't expect to see any bugs or hear any complaints. same for people on twitch with early copies.

Other than that one weird jumping animation on Hannahs videos I haven't seen anything unusual

Tbf it could have been THPS5 considering how fucker that is.

Seems about right, in terms of size, as I think Unity was close to that. The complete lack of hype on this game is interesting. I really haven't seen much on it at all. I enjoyed Unity a lot, but it did have its issues. I'll be sitting on the fence on this one until I see more.

What's the over/under on the day one patch? Based on previous threads, it won't be small.

Edit: I've also pre-ordered the physical copy, so I'm in for a penny, in for a pound.

Are they really any different from mainstream publications? Both rely on the publishers for content. My point is that we have a few sites claiming the game was running poorly while everyone else is saying that it ran fine, and the hours upon hours of footage point to the later being more accurate. I couldn't care less about the impressions of the press, but rather what I can see with my own eyes during raw gameplay footage.
