I think it's pretty clear to randomly bringing up fiscal year in a game announcement thread seems to be motivated by trying to look in the know.

Not really, it was a simple throw away question with no ego massaging intended. My ego doesn't require a videogame community to think I am in the know by using certain phrases.

I don't think fiscal year is a complex or uncommon term - I imagine quite a large proportion of people know what I meant, even from a layman's pov. You don't need honours in Political Economics and Accountancy, or a career in tax accounting to "get" it.

Anyway, enough about me and how clever I am/am not. It really isn't particularly interesting and I'm here to chat informally about games.

again, all of those games aren't very good, nor are they AAA by any standard. LEGO Jurassic World being the exception that I forgot about, but still doesn't satisfy my dinosaur needs because lego games aren't my jam.

I guess it's safe to assume that, given the lack of a number in the name, this might be a standalone expansion for Far Cry 4 in the same way Blood Dragon was for FC3. If this live stream ever actually does something other than growl at us ever 45 seconds and stops with the ethereal cavemen voices, I'd like to see what a melee-focused Far Cry game is like.
