We got a new update Monday. We'll probably get one tomorrow.
My racing wheel (Thrustmaster TX) doesn't work at all with Forza 6. I'm guessing it doesn't work with any other game but I haven't tried yet. The only button that works is the guide button.
Wheels not working in menus is listed as a known issue but it doesn't mention anything about wheels not working at all as far as I know.

Exactly the problem I've got, I wanted to try the new dlc on forza motorsport 6 but I ain't playing with a pad.

My console says it's connected to the internet, but then doesn't actually connect to the internet. Can't start up Destiny. Needed another hard reboot.

Do you use Account Auto Sign In upon console start? Switch it off! Fixes a lot of problems with the nxe.
EDIT: By the way, NXE fixed my kinect. Before, it was randomly switching off and on all the time.

Yeah the signed in but not really signed in thing is annoying, hopefully it does get fixed soon.
Edit: I actually thought it was my external drive causing the issue, i'll try turning off auto sign in.

Thought hard update fixed the issue with no volume from cable, but upon turning on the Xbox this morning I still had the same issue.
Probably not. Cortana isn't going to officially release until next year.
No. Preview members might get it this year, but the official release won't be until 2016.
There is an APP die demos, "demo centre" i think. But i'm not sure if it is for betas, too. Fastest way to find something would be to "bing" it via kinect (if you own one)

I have the Logitech G920, here is how I can use it in Forza 6 with NXE :
- have the wheel plugged to your Xbox (I suppose the TX does not show up in the peripherals just like the G920 ?)
- start Forza 6 with a pad and turn the pad off right away by pressing the Xbox button until it shows the turn off console/pad popup
- wait until Forza is loaded and press A on the home screen when you can
- the console will ask who is using the wheel, but you can't select, turn on the pad, select your account, and turn off the pad (maybe you can let it on)
- now the wheel is linked to your account
I started a race and I could fully use the wheel, and I could turn on the pad to take photos and navigate menus.

Yea, I tried doing the "change your location to Australia" to get the beta and when the console rebooted all I got was a black screen. Unplugged everything, did hard reboots etc... And nothing worked. Still black screen. Luckily, somehow the menu does show when double tapping the Xbox button and I was able to go to the settings and change it back. That solved my black screen issue. Have to admit, I pulled my hair for a few minutes there. Lol
Yeah, that's the different issue to the one I'm talking about. The game basically doesn't run properly, on Hoth with 40 players even the sounds don't play right.
If you want to play via the Australia download go to store.xbox.com on a PC, hit "Change location" at the bottom, then select Oz and search for Battlefield. Hit download. Then download on your Xbox. No need to change location on your Xbox itself.
So can you still at least control the main menus in forza with the wheel? So you can have the wheel plugged in and just control the OS with kinect and once the game loads the wheel can do the rest?
I am picking up a G920 tomorrow and just wondering how I was to go about getting it to work with NXE.

Interesting. There's a definitely divide in opinions on performance in the Battlefront thread. For me it sucks.

I hope to play the beta later today (UK), I'm currently running NXE so I'll be able to report back my findings. I am looking to roll back to the original dash at some point but that's another topic.

I just got the update late last night and tried it for 5 minutes before bed, but at first glance I didn't notice anything different.. Admittedly a very quick first glance

Wheels are fully functional in games (and their menus), it's just disabled in the dashboard (for now), so you can't assign the wheel to someone, unless you turn off the pad while the game is launching (so it can detect you started the game with only a wheel plugged in).

Got into the beta last night - looks very nice but a couple of fairly significant issues so far. It keeps forgetting my connection settings for some reason, so when I turn the console on it has "Connect to Xbox Live" everywhere because its settings have gone. I did re-enter the settings, but as soon as I powered off the console, the settings were gone next time it was switched on.
I also seem to get certain text in the guide sidebar which appears to be written in English, but using special characters and accented letters etc to spell the words - maybe MS wants to bring back some MSN Messenger nostalgia?
Going to test more tonight, but those were my impressions after a successful update and fully power cycling it 3 times to see if either of the above issues corrected themselves. They haven't so far. All else appears okay up to now.

This, it's worked for me so far. Auto sign sign etc all works too and no signs of black screens (yet!), I've been pretty lucky.
You could have also had a power surge that turned the console off. I've had that happen before.
Go to store.xbox.com from your PC. Change region at very bottom of page to Australia. Search for Battlefront. Click install. Then on your Xbox, it's under My Games and Apps.
PS: I had the failed background download issue last night with Tomb Raider, in the morning the download had only reached 2% and console display was black.
I can confirm this with arcade sticks. I own a Madcatz TE2 (the Killer Instinct version) and it works only in-game while playing Mortal Kombat X. Didn't try KI yet but I'm suspecting it's the same.
The Xbox Guide button on the stick works for some reason but beyond that you can't use it to navigate the dash. Just in-game.
This is in the "Known Issues" for the beta. They haven't yet added the feature to use them in dash.
Yup, though I remember reading them mentioning wheels, not sticks in particular but it seems it's just third party accessories in general I guess.
I don't mind waiting for a fix as long as they're usable in the games they support.

Netflix was really unstable, Destiny crashing so hard it thought I didn't have xbox gold or any of the expansions, and party chat was just randomly crashing.
The dash was also crashing at some points where if I hit the home button everything would hang. Had to turn controller on and off again to get any response.
Issues reported but I can wait till this whole thing is more stable at general release.

Maybe this is just me, but does it seem like the main dash just stops working sometimes? The new snap menu which shows friends/parties/notifications etc doesn't pop up when I double tap the xbox button. Instead the screen dims like it's loading the menu and then eventually gives me a "generic error." On top of this I can't even get back to the Xbox Home, I'll tap the xbox button and nothing happens. Audio from the game cuts like I'm back at the home but the game/app is still full screen.
Where can I report this? (Hard reset temporarily fixes these issues)

Hold the Guide button, wait for prompt. On the right side... "Report a Problem".
Wait for it to happen, then report it with picture/video.

Got the update this morning. I honestly cant say I prefer it over the the current one. I think it takes longer to get to my digital games which I do not like. It should be click over or down. You should not have to scroll.
Also, I still hate the store. No demo section and I don't get why they cant fit more on the screen rather than those big ass tiles.
