The makers of the really good Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment, Frogwares, signed a publishing deal with Bigben Interactive in May and will apparently unveil their next entry in the series at Paris Games Week next week. It's slated for a release in 2016.

Here's the full Bigben Interactive line-up for PGW:
- Handball 16
- WRC 5
- Sherlock Holmes #8
- MXGP 2
- Gamme accessoires PC Nacon

Great news. Loved Crimes and Punishments, the mysteries were well constructed and intriguing. I will certainly be coming back for more next year.

Hmm, interesting. I swear I read they were working on a Lovecraft game though.
Yeah, so did I. There's a Call of Cthulhu game listed as TBA on their Wikipedia page, so we didn't dream that up.

I really enjoyed Crimes and Punishment, so I'm looking forward to this.

I hope they build on Crimes and Punishments, that was great, not sure about a change of publisher, I hope it goes well for them.

yeah I like the series. it's very peaceful to play and engaging to solve the mysteries. its just hard to get into -- i have it in my backlog and still haven't had time to complete it.

Believes Dragon Quest is a franchise managed by Sony
Sherlock Holmes Crimes and Punishments shockingly had the best graphics i've seen in a PS4 game, i want to see another one

Omg, already? I haven't even played the Crimes and Punishment yet. Vanilla Destiny ate up pretty much all of game time and in turn created a huge backlog. I can't tell you how happy I am to have finished and deleted that game from the library.

Hopefully, I will finish the first game and be ready for the next.

Nice! I liked Crimes and Punishment even though it couldn't hold a steady FPS on my lappy XP
Glad to see we're getting some more game announcements during this event.
I do hope their next game runs good on PS4 as C&P had some technical issues like screen tearing from what I've heard.

Crimes and Punishment turned out pretty ace in the end, always thought they'd sell another case or two as DLC but I guess not. Looking forward to the next one then!

I actually just finished C&P the other day. I didn't like it as much as the previous games. Although that's mostly because I prefer one big case instead of 6 smaller ones. Easier to get invested into a single, lengthier case; at least for me.

Cool. I've only played Crimes and Punishments, but it was unexpectedly good; a solid 7/10 kinda game. I'd definitely be up for more of that sort of thing.

Edit - Is there any chance of it being shown during the Sony conference or is that an unlikely scenario? Would be cool if the adventure genre was pushed more on the console.

This is good. I've enjoyed seeing the progression in these games over the years. Each game more and more of the jank gets stripped away.

C&P was fantastic

Hope the overarching case has a greater presence this time though.Maybe keep it a little more grounded as well, some of the stuff in C&P was pretty out there in a way that felt out of place to me.

Some of the most beautiful, atmospheric environments I've seen in games though, hope they can replicate that.

Crimes and Punishment was the most positive PS+ surprise that I can think of.

I had really low expectations when I booted it up. Not so great frame rates and long loading times (PS3) made me think about just deleting it, but I continued and ended up enjoying it.

You actually feel like a detective. Find clues, interrogate people, connect dots and read between the lines. It was all great. The atmosphere is great and the voice acting really clicked with me.

I can't wait. Crimes & punishements was my first encounter with the franchise and i loved it.

Hopefully, they will stop doing last gen console support and concentrate on solid performance on current gen consoles though. With C&P on PS4, i had the impression that the game could fall apart technically at any moment, especially in one of the later cases.

C&P was a great game ruined by awful loading times. If they can fix that issue in the next game then I'm sold.

Frogwares were developing a Lovecraft game, but it was announced fairly recently that Cyanide Studio had taken over the development.

Yeah, it's a shame the game ran like ass on the PS4. No reason it should've, since it wasn't a particularly ambitious game graphically. I dread to think how it performed on the PS3.

Testament of Sherlock Holmes was solid. Haven't played Crimes & Punishment yet, glad they are working a new game.

Nice. I didn't really expect to enjoy C&P as much as I did when I got it from PS+ but was pleasantly surprised by a pretty fantastic adventure game. The only downside were all the technical issues, which is a bit of a given for a UE3 game on PS3. It was enough to get me to buy Testament of Sherlock Holmes on sale.

Here's hoping they've upgraded to UE4 this time around, ditching last gen.

I loved Crimes and Punishments, it's really impressive to see how far the series has gone over the years. Can't wait for the next game.

Earlier this year, I got Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, I completed it and I loved it.

I played the game to see all the possible endings to each case and I got the Platinum Trophy for it too.

Then, I wanted to play The Testament of Sherlock Holmes on PS3, but I can't find it.

Do you think if I contact Frogwares they can send me a copy of it?

PSN? Pretty sure it's still on sale on the EU PSN.

Oh, cool. Yeah, Crimes & Punishments was really great, although I don't have any reference since I didn't play the others. Curious to see what they will do this time.
