Working at the UBisoft stand, missed the announcements :(

Being on the floor kinda blows, place is full of kids. Will come earlier tomorrow to check around but I guess the place will be full since it's public opening.

And the trailer is glorious. They NAILED the look of the original game. I just dislike the blood on the screen, but thats nitpicking...

Man, the start of the trailer when it does a flyby of the original opening level. And then the robot dinosaur walks overhead. If the game can nail the aesthetic of Amiga era Psygnosis cover art, I can forgive the OTT gore and rudimentary combat.

The whole event felt kind of muted, maybe it was the lack of audience enthusiasm I don't know. But the first party selection was solid. WiLD, Horizon, Ratchet, Uncharted 4, and Gravity Rush 2 all look really nice.

I quite enjoyed on their Press Con for PGW this year, it is in line with their usual Gamescom's showings over the past years... 8/10 ratings

Didn't watched the conference live but followed along via this thread. Watched all the videos and reveals on the PS YouTube channal and thought it all looked pretty awesome, not sure why people thought it was a bad show. Like, how much does pacing and presenter quality actually play in to people's opinion of the show?

Also...can we stop with the enthusiasm debates. People complaining that press aren't clapping at a trade show they are working at, and calling them jaded, really? It's almost as annoying as the Game Trailers vs Giant Bomb E3 reaction comparison. I've never seen so many people offended by how someone else chooses to react to something.

Not that it matters any more and I have no way of verifying it, but I heard the one hour press appointment for the unnanounced game was Detroit- had been cancelled. Still they managed to debut it, so that's something.

The announcement/appointments were pretty spot on. WiLD, Gravity Rush 2, Uncharted 4, and Dreams - the press are supposedly seeing a bit more of those games after the event. I wonder if the impressions are embargoed and for how long. The one I'm most instered in is Dreams.

hmm that's a little bit concerning, but I guess a game like Detroit is going to show a lot better when the graphics are near finished. You can forgive frame drops in a demo of something like Horizon, but if a game like Detroit is chugging it's going to break the immersion.

Very cool, very European and bohemian. Lots of French developers!

Can't wait for NMS. Order 1886 should have been more like that zombie mode for COD, tongue-in-cheek.

Disappointed Housemarque showed cg, do we know what genre it is? 3rd person platformer?

It's really surprising how many first-party published projects SCE showed. Like what's left for PSX? SCE Bend and SCE Santa Monica projects?

I liked the first party showcase. it was neat to see updates on already announced games, though the pacing sucked and it was too long for some of the talks

yeah, that's what im guessing Bend's new IP and God of War shakeup, that and some extended looks at already announced titles, maybe some more small collabs

I thought it was an okay conference. Dragged on often and slowed the whole pace down but its one of Sony's better conferences over the past couple of years. Thank god the cameraman wasn't drunk this time around.

+ Gran Turismo Sport announcement
+ Detroit: Become Human trailer
+ Tekken 7 trailer
+ Uncharted 4 Multiplayer trailer
+ Horizon alternate gameplay

~ Wild looks rough
~ VR still doesn't look convincing
~ Matterfall trailer was cool, but need gameplay Housemarque

- Slow and dragged out translation sessions
- Dreams demo was woeful
- No update on Rime still
- That bloody audience

I feel like the reason Detroit/Wild has no release window is that it's probably the most 50:50 in hitting either 2016/2017. Especially for Cage's game. Even if there's enough content for a one hour presentation, you kinda don't want to reveal too much too early if the game will come out in 2 years.

Is there any chance of Rime showing up during the actual Paris Games Week, like on the show floor or something? Can't believe the project's just gone completely dark like this. Nothing since Gamescom last year, right?

The content shown was okay, but not enough surprises.

It feels like they axed the indies part in favor of PSVR. It was inevitable though, they held off the VR talk at E3, it had to come sooner or later.

btw, Matterfall looks great, I trust Housemarque.

PSX will be about the fans, so we'll get a few #buildingthelist stuff, classics coming to PS4, Final Fantasy VII remake news (they did say more info in the winter --- or fall, one or the other), some Vita games, Playstation VR some more, and then maybe one or two big things. I think Bend will be there and maybe a God of War teaser, where the full unveil would be at E3.

There was the Spanish news article and video that mentioned it was still coming this year at the end of summer (August maybe?), and it had a few new very short clips in the video. But outside of that the game has been extremely quiet. At this point they could be staying quiet because they are pushing toward the end and won't talk about it until the game is done or close to done, or there has been a rough delay. PSX might be a good place for it to pop back up, if Tequila Works is silent all this week.

Has it opened, I want to know if it's like gamescom, that there are Vita games on the floor even though the the Vita wasn't even mentioned during yesterday's press event (still hoping for that rumored XCOM port to surface this week).

The only thing I got out of this conference is that French crowd was pathetic.

Anyway, there will be only 2 more first party for PSX now since GT Sport already been announced. Next up is Bend and SSM.

Actually, theres suckerpunch too.
And scej considering they possibly cant be only doing one main game..

Jim Ryan seemed somehow even worse at presenting than usually, but all in all the conference was enjoyable, even if it felt like a step down from the past few Gamescom presentations.

Yeah, he seemed nervy to me, and those pause-for-applause gah! he should've just kept talking.
