My nexus 6p shown up yesterday, sexy phone. Nice upgrade from my Nexus 4. I joined the Google fi service but my number won't transfer until Monday so we will see how it goes.

Picked up their graphite case with it too. Already helped survive one bump to the floor.

This is the phone of my dreams. I say dreams cause there is no other way I can afford one. The only thing that worries me is how fragile and "bendable" it is.

I absolutely love my 6p. Best phone I ever had, I can't come up with a complain. Stock Android is absolutely beautiful.

I have been using mine for almost 10 days now. Coming from a combo of 6 Plus and Mi Note, this thing is a beast. The only thing that's not stellar (decent) is the camera app and the battery life.

It's the best smartphone out today.

I've had mine for almost a week now. Awesome phone across the board, though I think the battery life numbers are a little overstated. The fingerprint sensor is especially handy.

My wife got it and I am insanely jealous of that fingerprint reader. I thought it was just another pointless feature, but it's speed and location are actually game-changing.

Pretty sure this is my next phone when my Nexus 5 dies. Just wish there was a version without the camera bump (and fingerprint thing).

I had to upgrade from a 4 to 5 because I'm too broke to have a 6p right now, but someday next year it will be mine.

So beautiful. Or maybe I'll hop onto next year's Nexus because the 5 is still peetty sweet.

The 6P is almost perfect. The screen size, stock android and oled. I just have to have a removable battery and hardware buttons. Not sure if that combo will ever exist again.

I talked to a T-Mobile rep and they told me they won't be getting the 6P until next year at the earliest. I wanna use my Jump, damnit!

Got mine on Tuesday.

Thing is HUEG compared to my old Nexus 5. The battery life is way better so I don't know what you guys are talking about.

Last night I tried Hearthstone in this thing. It was so good.

I also switched to Project Fi from a prepaid T-Mobile account, the transfer took literarily 5 minutes.

If you're open to trying Project Fi, I believe you can finance a 5X/6P over 24 months at 0% interest with a new membership.

These phone "reviews" that don't measure or quantify anything (e.g. screen accuracy, sound quality, thorough/exhaustive camera/battery/performance benches) are about as useful as reading a store product page. No scratch that, a store product page would be a lot more useful as it'd probably include an aggregate of hundreds of user reviews rather than just the ramblings of one doofus. How do these fucking clowns get paid to do this?

Yeah, it's an awesome phone. I've been using mine with Project Fi for the past week and have been having a great experience all around. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a new phone.

Best phone out right now hands down. And I bet not even 1 in 10 people know it exists :/

Got my 128 GB Aluminium yesterday! I had to cut the micro-SIM from my Nexus 5 manually, which was easy but terrifying, and I just got things rooted and setup how I like! Running my first Titanium Backup now.

Anyone found a screen protector they like?
I'm just using a cheap tempered glass one for now. I may upgrade when XGear releases something. I'm hoping they'll make a sapphire glass one like their iPhone one.

Got mine today as an upgrade from the Oneplus One. It's nice, but it's probably the smallest upgrade I've had with a phone my while life. Technology is just so good everywhere these days.

Fingerprint scanner is genius on the back. Like I literally pick up my phone and my finger automatically unlocks it.

What alternative chargers and cakes are people buying?

I've had one for a day. As some reviews mentioned it does have a slightly yellow screen and when out in the sunlight it's darker than comfortably readable (on even highest brightness) but it's still readable.

I've had mine for a week and a half. It's the first phone I've owned (and I've owned a LOT) that ticks every single box that I want in a phone.

What makes it better than the Note 5?

I have read many of the reviews and it seams the Note 5 is faster at almost everything, has the same OLED panel (though the Notes has slightly better brightness, has more RAM, longer battery life in real world test(by two hours), a slightly better camera, can do true multi tasking. Wireless Charging. The only real downside I see is cost vs.

I am going to be replacing my Nexus 5 after the 1st of the year and the 6P and Note 5 are at the top of my list. Waiting to see what the S7 comes out as, the early benchmarks look silly fast.

A phone is better than the sum of its parts. It's more than a numbers game. A Samsung phone still gives you a Samsung experience. That much is as true as it's ever been. For example - what does having more RAM actually do for one on a day to day basis given Samsungs horrible memory management?

Nexus or bust as far as Android goes, imo.

Wanted to do an upgrade and give my old nexus 5 to my parents, but fuck those European prices and fuck you Google. On top of that we don't even get any free Play credit like Americans do.

I've had my 64 GB Aluminum since Tuesday(switched from Galaxy S4) and I've been absolutely loving it. The fingerprint scanner is legit, so quick and the placement is great. Love the premium feel of the phone. Haven't had issues with the battery(I suppose coming from such an old phone is the difference there), Doze especially works really well. The phone charges insanely fast as well with USB Type-C. I'll agree the camera app could have some more features but a 3rd party app does the trick in the meantime. The size hasn't been difficult to get used to at all for me.

I'm excited to finally have a Nexus phone so I can reap all the benefits of having the newest updates as soon as they come out. It was also beautiful taking the phone out of the box and not having to deal with all Samsung's bloatware. Really impressed all around.

Thanks for your input, that is why I asked.

The biggest issues I have with my Nexus 5 is the terrible battery life. After getting a work given iPhone 6 Plus I love the bigger screen and much longer lasting battery life (iOS withstanding)

However none of the reviews for the Note 5 say anything about poorly managed memory on the device. I am curious where you are getting this from? The base layer OS is Android so it manages all the memory. I certainly never had any issues with 5.1.1 and memory management.

Again two phones with the same screens, one with a larger battery (6P), slower SOC (6P), less RAM (6P), (better "memory managed" as you say) yet still manages less battery life on a day to day basis.

Maybe all the flagship phones of the past 6 months will get another shoot out once 6.0 is on them.

They both look like great phone. Just trying to get other info before dropping $700-500 on a new device.
