All that said, I probably will trek out just to get Guitar Hero for $70, that tracklisting had me regretting RB4 ever since it launched, so $70 is a fair jumping point.

Best Buy at least stocks the majority of their Black Friday deals online as well (the trick being that they may not list doorbusters). Even without that, I'm fairly sure that Amazon and Newegg are going to match that $299 price.

Wow! I guess its safe to assume that every NPD going forward for the rest of this gen will be dull and predictable.

It looks like Microsoft is content to work within their means this year. And do well by their own standards rather than trying to compete with PS4.
It may be boring to us, but ultimately I think it is the right move in not devaluing the product further.

If they want to make it through the whole gen, they can't just keep cutting the price drastically every year.

It will probably be $250 next BF, and maybe $199-230 in 2017...
Assuming a 6 year gen, that would put them on pace to be around the same price that 360/PS3 is now by the end of the generation.

No, they only do BF deals for items people actually want. You need to look for clearance, but most places already did that.
