Makes me want to play as one I actually did play as one but restarted as male because the jarring discrepancy between her background as a law graduate and her immediate ability to blow people's heads off messes up my Roleplay consistency OCD At least the male is a military veteran so it's not too far-fetched for him to do that.

How I wished Bethesda didn't shove the "loving family background" in this game and let me create my own canon for my characters

Or maybe you guys can suggest a "story" for her to explain that discrepancy so that it wouldn't bother me playing as her?

Not that hard. Some military members teach their SO how to handle guns and self-defence, which happened in this case.

Well honestly, if you don't go exploring around the house, there's not blatant identification of who has the military background. And in actuality, I just played it as if they both are military veterans, she just happened to go on to get a law degree.

I wanted to know if we could adjust characters in the future, and if so, what the extent was? Is it like the full character creation or is it just simple changes like eye color/hair style, etc..?

Yes you can and it's pretty much the character creator all over again, though I don't think you can swap genders.

Looks like how I imagine one of the characters from that looks like. He's called Raven and... well, this sums it up nicely, I think:

I basically just went with the default female. I tried making a custom face but it ended up looking terrible and I just want to start playing. Only thing was I changed her hair colour. All I'm doing is changing her hair style now and then. I think I'm gonna go to the surgeon guy and maybe add cosmetic things like make up/scars.

I called her Chloe. Usually when created a character name I think of games/books/TV shows. It was either Clara (Doctor Who), Cara (not after anyone), Chloe (Life Is Strange), or Ciri (Witcher). I knew Ciri wouldn't be voiced and wasn't sure of Clara/Cara so went with Chloe.

I can't remember where I picked up her outfit but it was right near the start and I just like how it looks. I have a sequin dress and plain tshirt/jeans to change her into. I didn't think of screenshotting her in the gear I give her when outside DC but the mask reminds me of something from star wars and it's a long leather jacket covered in iron/spikes. It'll do for now.

So far I don't see any reason. You only see the husband/wife up until

Maybe they appear later on in the game, I don't know.

I'm quite impressed with the female VA. I'd assume the male is of similar quality.

Your tv is overscannig hard. The hud should not be So close to the bottom edge. Change overscan to off in your tv settings. Or there may be an option that that let's you change picture from 16 by 9 ratio to 1 by 1. Or picture fit or something like that. You'll know when you see it.
