sucks for you. I'll be enjoying Battlefront when I get home.
The service is actually great, it's saved me a lot of $. Instead of buying or even renting games I normally would have I get my fill usually in the 10 hours of early access. Plus all the games u get with the service.
EA Access is worth it for the vault games alone. Playing a trial early is just an added bonus. It's not anti consumer in the slightest, I mean look at NFS - you could play a huge chunk of that game within the allocated 10 hours, getting your fill. It's no different to when we got demos, only it's the full game.

Yep. I cancelled my NFS preorder after playing it on EA Access - I didn't like the game - which saved me $60. I've done this with another game too, I've ended up saving money through EA Access.
Paying 5 bucks for 10 hours of gaming is bad how?

Ahhh reading these Xbox One impressions are building my hype. Can't wait to play this next week! Goingto be great complimentary game to Fallout 4 too. I love playing a bit of singleplayer then jumping onto a multiplayer game for a bit for a break

Ok obviously I didn't make it clear I wasn't talking about the service in general, just the early access portion. It seems I also may be confused about how this works. The way EA makes it sound is the game is officially out for those on Xbox One with EA access. If you own the game you can play all week? Or is it just for 10 hours and then people have to wait for the official release?
I wouldn't worry about that, read any of the battlefront threads on here. Tons of good feedback on the ps4 version. The xbone version seems to be the "weakest" regarding performance but people who played both console versions still said it was fine.

It's just the ten hours otherwise retailers will likely have a big problem with it.
Just for 10 hours, then you can get the full game and continue where you left off. Or be happy with your 10 hours and move on. It's pretty great. Especially if you can grab a 12 month EA Access code for cheap like I did!

Oh thank you for clarifying. That is completely on me for misunderstanding. I was never bashing the service, just what I thought was a rediculous practice. I was baffled that I wasn't seeing more people speak up about it, but now obviously I understand why.

There are other folk in this very thread reporting no issues with past purchases from mexican origin. I've bought my ultimate edition preorder through them. It's showing up fine in Origin and I got a confirmation email to say that they're charging for it today ahead of release.

Man this has been a month to remember. A great CoD, Fallout 4, and now Star Wars Battlefront. I'll be set for months and months.

Same here. Being able to launch into a quick game of Walker Assault in between missions of FO4 will be a beautiful thing.
Seems like a great deal. I'd be all over it if it was available on PS4.

What was the cost? I'm going with my BB GCU order for various reasons, but I'm curious.
I've spent 5 hours in game.
Some feedback:
- It looks fantastic. I played the beta on PC in Ultra - on Xbox One on my 50" TV it still looks great. Endor looks really good, especially at night and in the rain.
- Very smooth fps was, much improved from beta. This must be a later build, even in 40 player Walker at the end of matches it's still smooth now.
- They've listened to beta feedback. Your partner is now highlighted on the HUD. The HUD UI is about 30% smaller. The Walkers move slower in Walker Assault - the win/lose ratio is about 50% now in my games so far.
- it's a very very casual game good in short bursts. In 5 hours I've already unlocked most of the key items. I think the Battlefield crowd will quickly move back to BF4, but casuals will carry it.

I'm really hoping to see then outline party game modes at some point in the future outside of Co-op wave mode. I live for the fun party game modes.

I avoided buying Need for Speed thanks to EA Access. The 10 hours was enough for me. They saved me $80 Canadian. Now I get to play Battlefront early. Oh, and not to mention the shit ton of games I have access to in the library that I wouldn't have bought otherwise.
I still don't understand people who cling to this being anti-consumer when people actually using the service have benefited from it.
Preordered my copy from best buy with GCU for $48.
I'm in the UK so this might not be much use, but it was ~£52 iirc for the ultimate version.
I didn't have any fps issues with the beta but this is always good news. Am I going crazy or did I read somewhere that you can remove and add items from the UI?
There's a 40 player mode on Tatooine set where the millennium falcon escaped. It also includes said Falcon. Great fun. Looks fantastic. Took loads of screenshots, but they have screenshot sharing disabled right now.
I did not know this is a thing. Haha, pretty great.

I cannot wait to play this when I get home! I'm totally ok with this being a casual multiplayer game...it'll be refreshing in my opinion

Yep. My casual comment was not a criticism at all. I love being able to drop in, fight, then Fallout 4 (which I'm doing right now!).

Supremacy mode is a blast. I really wanted to not enjoy this as much as I'm trying to play Fallout 4 and Halo 5 at the minute. Probably going to grab this now with the discount for EA Access members
