No public VOIP is seriously FUCKED.

Your avatar made this even funnier.

With a potty mouth like that, it's probably for the best.

I am sure this was a Disney request as well. They do know younger people will be playing, and have marketed as such to both generations (parents that are fans, and their children).

Imagine the shitstorm in the media in today's age with parents walking in on their kid playing a now Disney Star Wars game with F bombs coming through the speakers. People are getting offended over coffee cups for crying out loud.

The community options on the PS4 will shine with this, like it has been with pretty much every game. Hop into group chats, and run with your squad.

I think it ended up hurting Titanfall. Curious to see how Battlefront fairs.

Titalfall is not an IP powerhouse that has all those feels. It also did not hurt the other Battlefront's either. But you are correct, time will tell.

I think it hurt Titanfall because it was so much a game made in the CoD mold, no matter how much they tried to distance themselves from it. There were certain expectations about weapon variety. Even those who knew about the limited options had to decide whether they wanted to "suit their playstyle" or use the weapon that was just objectively the best all-around gun (that AR, imo). The few options you had were illusions at best.

Hero hunt lasts entirely too long. And people are already hiding until the hero is nearly dead so they can snipe the kill.

The idle cutscenes in the menu are great, btw.

I've spent 5 hours in game.

Some feedback:

- It looks fantastic. I played the beta on PC in Ultra - on Xbox One on my 50" TV it still looks great. Endor looks really good, especially at night and in the rain.

- Very smooth fps was, much improved from beta. This must be a later build, even in 40 player Walker at the end of matches it's still smooth now.

- They've listened to beta feedback. Your partner is now highlighted on the HUD. The HUD UI is about 30% smaller. The Walkers move slower in Walker Assault - the win/lose ratio is about 50% now in my games so far.

- it's a very very casual game good in short bursts. In 5 hours I've already unlocked most of the key items. I think the Battlefield crowd will quickly move back to BF4, but casuals will carry it.
Will rotate this with TLOUR depending on what type of shooter I want to play. They should keep me busy until Uncharted 4 mysticasual MP comes out on the online front.

Yeah thats definitely true. Being good and getting kills is the primary reason I play. But getting good for me is about having choices for my play style. Thats why I love COD and Battlefield so much is because thats how it always is. You try out an M16 for a bit. Try a SCAR. You try a bunch of new cool weapons and loadouts to find the one thats your favorite.

There's 2 different things being talked about here. Customizing you loadout, and the grinding of unlocks so you can customize your loadout. I doubt anyone has an issue with customization, some games do it better than others, but conceptually its good. But the grind to unlock all those customization options is separate. When people criticize the grind, they're not criticizing customization as a whole, just the grinding part. I would certainly be happy if everyone just had everything unlocked from the start.

Does anyone know if those card with charges are unchanged in the final? Still need to refill charges between matches?

Is it weird that the game comes out in less than a week and EA has still not mentioned/detailed what's going to be in the season pass?

I dont think this game will review good, because of the casual nature. But who cares, day 1.

That's a shame if that ends up being the case. I don't need depth in my multiplayer game as long as it's fun. Total bonus that it looks and sounds good. My guess is scores will be high but reviewers will make it clear there isn't a lot of depth to it.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! That's terrible. :(

I assume the first batch is content from the new film and they probably can't speak about it yet.

Edit: Do we have a GAF list for PC players? None of my friends are getting it so I'm going in solo.

Its good that they are not mentioning anything. If EA revealed Anything about the season pass before the game officially released, GAF & reddit gonna have thousands of threads bashing EA for Saying they are announcing DLC before even actual game complete.

Thanks

I played for about four hours last night once it went live. Thoughts:
  • Game is ridiculous looking. Each map, too--there is a lot of variety and all of it looks fantastic. I'm kinda in shock over Endor--it looks amazing (might be the best looking MP map I've ever seen, on X1 at least)
  • Game is smooth as shit. Even on Endor, it feels great. Don't know that I've noticed any slowdown, but I did play very late last night, so maybe, haha
  • Maps are beautiful and design seems pretty solid so far, although I've had a sampling of each and haven't taken a deep dive
  • I'll admit I'm not impressed by the map counts. 4/9 modes only have 4 maps, and the rest have 8-9 maps, 9 being the max. Those 4-map modes are going to get old fast
  • Mostly played Supremacy and Walker Assault, but dabbled a little in Cargo too
  • Still some crappy spawns but I feel like I was getting spawn-camped much less
  • I kinda wish they had made a mode (Hardcore or something) that requires first-person view because, outside of Missions, I don't see myself using it at all. Which is a shame! Because the weapon models/effects look fantastic and not using first-person at all feels a little like a waste
  • Seems like there is a decent amount of items to unlock! Hard to say anything about a game's balance until a lot of the basic unlocks are out of the way, but it's slow going
My #1 concern: maps. If this game had double the maps for some of its modes, it would be okay, but four maps for these modes is rough.

That's a bit unfortunate regarding maps. I was hoping it would be like BF4 where all maps are available for Conquest and scaled down for other modes.

I'll still be there day 1 obviously, rest sounds great.

Problem is that alot of maps dont work for some gamemodes in BF4. I mean there were so many broken Rush maps because they put Rush in every map.

Yeah, I'm happy they're not shoehorning maps into all modes if it doesn't make sense, but it doesn't make the number 4 hurt any less.

I've just realized I can stream it to a tablet... This is pretty great I never thought I'd use Xbox streaming

I use that to play in bed right before passing out :)

You can have 3 different items in your hand, as well as a perk (or whatever they call them) and your chosen blaster. You unlock all of these items, as well as customisation, by levelling up. So a level 50 dude would have access to way more cards for their hand, blasters, and perks than a level 1 dude. The loadouts you can't change are vehicles, or as heroes.

Cool, thanks for the info dude. I think my best move is to wait for some impressions.

Yeah true. Do we have a full weapon list at this point yet?

I'm a little concerned about the longevity of this game, that BF4 comment rings true on so many levels.

SW BF1, SW BF2 had a great deal of longevity to them...

As for the casual comments, I don't think we should mistake simplicity for casual as stated in the OT

One question about the trial. Are the 10 hours actual playtime or is the game just unlocked for 10 hours once you start it for the first time?
