Fallout 4 |OT2| Farming Simulator 2287

In my humble experience, RPGCodex shreds everything I like. I have some serious issues with Fallout 4, mind you, but I like it. So all I can say is that they seem to do this often and you should try out this game for yourself.

My own opinion very often aligns with what RPGCodex thinks to be honest. I can't stand shallow RPGs for the life of me.

Eurogamer have a couple of good video tutorials

Size bar relates to how many items you can put in the settlement.

That size bar is for how much crap (stuff you placed) you have around your settlement I do believe not people.

Im constantly having to delete stuff due to mine constantly going into the yellow due to too many items placed.
Thank you! *Gets into builder mode*

can someone tell me how i can befriend mccready or do his quest line?
Where can i see the status of my relationship with him?

i want that 20% headshot accuracy!
Go to The Third Rail in Goodneighbour. I have that Killshot perk and the headshot accuracy always stays at 95% no matter how far the target is during VATS.

Around 30 hours in and still not bored. Can't wait until I get home, grab some wine and cheese and continue ignoring the main quest for 10 hours.

Can I add anything to it? Because right now, my vault suit with ump pads and various metal arms gives me about 76 damage resistance.

Nope. It takes up all armor slots. It's good armor, but if you're heavily investing in custom crafted armor pieces then I don't think anything in the game is going to outdo it. Handmade gear seems to be the way to go. Haven't found any armor that's better than 5 custom pieces slotted over an undersuit.

I really wish the quests can be categorized in the pip-boy. Minutemen missions under one tab, main under another, etc. I have like 10 quests and it just makes looking at the list a mess.

Don't think so.

It's why I never used it, either. By the time I finished the quest I had an armor rating of over 100.

Thank you both. My current set looks kinda shitty so I was hoping this could be comparable in DR, but it's all good.
Comic Store
was awesome, especially with the music they play.

And actually make the misc section work properly......

Stay away from it then, I don't necessarily have a very high standard when it comes to games being 'true RPG's' or things like that, but F04 definitely crossed a line, be it in the story / dialogue system or even character building.

Exploring and doing random stuff in the world is a thing I really enjoy in those games too so I'm still having fun personally but if you're looking for a full blown true RPG you might end up very disappointed.

All I'm willing to give them credit for on this subject is that they managed to make some companions really memorable and likeable this time around.

Any recommendations on when to complete the main story? I'm nearing level 28 and I think my current position in the story is
I've rescued Nick Valentine from Vault 114 and gotten initiated in both the Brotherhood and the Railroad
. Dunno how much I lack but I feel like I'm early to midway through.

When you want to. You're still at the beginning right now.

How do you mean? I click on the quest in misc and it tells me where to go on the mal.

When you "view on map" it automatically selects it for target, plus you can't "browse" the misc list after viewing one of the items on the map, you have to back out of the list and go back into it.

It's just not done very well.

Is the main story content going to scale with me so I don't just mow through the final missions at level 40?

And conversely, does the ending alter the world state in a way that prevents certain things from becoming accessible?

Dude. I'm level 54. I think the game wants me to ask about my son (Seamus? Sammy? Solidus?) somewhere called Diamond Village, because of the fire nation or a water chip or something.

It depends on your interpretation:
- fallout 4 is a deep game with crafting, town-building, exploration, interesting combat and player progression.
- the "RP" aspect is somewhat shallow, as with most Bethesda games.
- the technology used is somewhat disappointing, with many of the same bugs as skyrim/fallout3 (audio/lock-picking etc), the graphics are 'variable' (explosions are great, everything else kindof isn't), the UI still has it's annoying flaws etc.

But for me as a PC gamer, it's very much my game-of-the-year.

Don't listen to this man. He's allowed his opinion, but no. Just no. The game is great, but it's about as deep as Mass Effect.

I spent two days building a five storey hotel in sanctuary complete with a fully stocked bar and lighting in every room. I'm currently working on an elevated, open-air market on top of Red Rocket.

It may not have the depth you want, but it certainly has the depth I want.

How do people build good settlements. Can you move the object front and backwards, up and down? All I can do is rotate it and hope it fits into the remaining space. I have to manage using the camera which is stupid since you are still in your character.

Surely "depth" is subjective?

You can, which platform are you on?, the Eurogamer advanced base building video will also show you how to do it.

No way, there's far more to do and dive into than Mass Effect. That's a terrible example, almost as bad as the few saying it may as well be FarCry.

If you follow up on the quest involved with it, it should
upgrade to provide you with like 40 resistance, +1 Agility and Perception, and 15% damage reduction from humans
.

What quest is that? I got the costume in the comic shop, but can't seem to see a quest that talks about it.

I got to the mission where you have to choose between
railroad, brotherhood or the minutemen.
Do I have to pick a side and am I locked to them? Can I continue the mission without picking a side?

If you don't have it already, follow the Silver Shroud Radio to its source.
Goodneighbour, the Memory Den.

Oh, I kind of assumed that was just going to lead me to the comic shop (which I already had done) so I assumed I didn't need to listen.

I'll give it a go.

Bethesda you hear me??? I hate you!!!!!!
I feel like a meth-junky playing this game.
Gaf told me that building stuff is pointless. That may be true, but sadly it is addicting like pure H. :(

Hm, got the loading screen for the Lone Wanderer and it working with Dogmeat definitely seems unintentional.

Anyways, I wonder if the game chooses a "loot table" for legendaries every session. Last night I got two legendary Deathclaw Gauntlets one after the other, and tonight I got two legendary Fatmans one after the other.

OT2 and I'm pnly level 15 and getting nowhere fast. Does anyone else feel like aimlessly walking around in this world is really dangerous? Almost makes me wanna follow only the quest markers, cause I get killed all the time just exploring...
