Ah... I'm here before my second shift starts. Eating lunch quickly.

So tired.

Looks like things are still moving along. Both systems still doing well. Neither system doing significantly better.

I'll see how it goes over the day.

XB1 doing better here based on stock levels. PS4 sold quicker, but much more stock of XB1 bundles with giftcard. Now time to go home grab the fam. and go to your place (on D.W.) for some scraps, LOL

Back from shopping at Kohl (made a killer deal) and Walmart

Anecdotal observations: Both consoles are selling gangbuster (wouldn't be surprised if all the $299 stock sells during the week end), but PS4's are killin it a bit more.

Between this and the rest of the month on top of Amazon monthly (and current hourly trending), I'd say imo PS4 will have a good win in Nov, 1.2-1.3m possible.

Target online is what, 1% of the market? I wouldn't take it as a large barometer for everything. Though if Wii U is up YOY when last year was Smash month, I think it would be a good indicator that price is extremely important for Nintendo.

It definitely is important. I want to buy one but not at the current price. Needs to be $199 or so because we only want a couple games for it.

^^What did Wii U sell last November?

I say just add ~75-100k to that. Not expecting more than that.

245,000 in November NPD 2014, 225,000 in November NPD 2013.

EDIT: I don't say crazy things like Wii U will win Black Friday or we will see a 100% YOY increase, but this is definitively a good news.

Of course price is important to Nintendo's customers. Historically they are the youngest audience overall. That was the whole point of the 2DS.

Ok I'm home from a busy day.

Overall PS4 was definitely the winner. I have no idea what sales #'s were just that we moved way more Uncharted systems then anything. Don't get me wrong here, XB1 sold a ton also, but the Uncharted bundle sold a lot. I know for a fact we only sold 1 Star Wars bundle (the 349 one) and 1 Elite System bundle. We also only sold 1 of the WiiU bundles, but ours are 279 when everyone else has them for 249.

Makes sense, you can get the 299 bundle and buy Battlefront with it for almost the same price of the Battlefront bundle and you get the Uncharted collection as well.

Edited it to say 1 Star Wars, but ya its expected for sure. Though we sold more of the holiday XB1 at 349 than the Gears at 299.

Last year neither PS4 or XB1 saw a price increase after Black Friday. When MS tried to raise the price in January it failed horribly. It will be interesting to see how consumers react to a price increase in December. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony extends the price promotion of the uncharted bundle.

Though Sony only just dropped the price to $349 - given how well they've been doing it sounds a bit implausible that they'd feel the need to shed a quarter of the console's original MSRP in the space of 2 or 3 months. I'm still surprised they felt it necessary to drop the Uncharted bundle's price to $299 officially. That is if you mean by "extend" you mean like how MS did it with the Xbox One in Jan and following months.

Yea Sony has the $299 deal through the weekend. But I don't see them keeping it at $299 past that. For the most part they are still outselling the comp and hitting their margins. We won't see another official price drop until a redesigned console.

Saw a LOT of this exact set up. Also with Blops3, since that came out to be $349.

Thanks! Can you share anything about software? Any big surprises?

Something else semi-related: Any idea on how Just Cause 3 and Rainbow Six: Siege are doing?

Agreed, and even then they may keep the $349 price point for people who want more storage - 1TB say, while making the new console $299 with a 500GB drive.

Just wondering, but what retailer do you work for?

All the Gamestops in my mall had big $349 stickers next to the Uncharted and Xbone bundles. Not really screaming about the sale.

PS4 is going to win BF

But yeah, both should be huge. November has been fantastic month.

I'm thinking both will sell over a million in november but a slight advantage to the PS4.So it will be like 1.0 to 1.2 million for the xbox one vs 1.1 million-1.4 million maybe for the PS4). The PS4 won't crush the xbox one in november.Difference between both console will probably be under 100K.

I took the fam out shopping last night, and our local Target sold out of X1 bundles while we were there. PS4 still had a stack left, and it looked like only a few Wii Us sold all night. It did seem to me that more PS4 games sold in the temp display shelves they had up.

Anecdotal but unless employees are told to say "we sold out" purposely, those Wii U Bundles at Target evaporated in my area. Called at least 4-5 of them. All gone. My friend had to get his from gstop.

Yeah I also think we may be looking at over 1 million for both. Which really is just fantastic news for the industry
