Xbox Survey: "Play PC games on XB1 with enhanced with graphics and dashboard"

So the monthly Xbox Rewards survey is up and there is an interesting piece mentioned. When asked what gamers' opinion stands on the following new features, one feature states: "Play PC games on Xbox One, enhanced with graphics and dashboard". What could this mean, games like Solitaire or full blown retail games or full PC stream support or something else?

"enhanced with graphics and dashboards"
What is this even supposed to mean? Dashboard is the XO UI I guess, but 'graphics'?

Enhanced Ski Free.

A man can only dream.

What does that even mean OP? Weird. I'd like to be able to play Xbone games against PC players. That's what I want to see.

I prefer the option lower dowb bout playing multi player with pc players

I mean, a couple months or so Microsoft, or Phil Spencer was talking about the Xbox team working on PC to Xbox streaming on top of proper Keyboard and Mouse support. I assume that is what the survey is talking about

Maybe they were talking about Graphics in a Spreadsheet and Excel way, like how is expected to be a PC isnt? :p

It could be about the reverse of the current streaming of XB1 games to PC. This could be just a streaming solution, and Phil Spencer has mentioned in the past that they were looking into it (although it's not as simple as the XB1 to PC implementation due to the various control inputs needed):
http://www.engadget.com/2015/07/29/xbox-one-will-eventually-stream-your-pc-games/
http://www.polygon.com/2015/1/21/7868321/stream-pc-to-xbox-one
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/...on-streaming-from-the-pc-to-the-xbox-one.aspx

It could also mean playing PC games natively (in some form) on the XB1...and that possibility (while far, far less likely) excites me greatly. Now that the XB1 is (on the back end of things) essentially a Windows 10 machine, I've been hoping they'd open it up a bit more. I would love to basically see it become more PC-like, and less like a console.

Ultimately, this could lead to the day of a steam-machines type situation for "Xbox consoles" - where they are basically just streamlined Windows 10 boxes (with multiple configurations, such as low, medium, high) designed to play games. And possibly from many storefronts, such as Steam, W10/Xbox store, or maybe even PlayStation - if they ever go the "services" route). This is all conjecture and "pipedreaming" on my end, and I think it's very unlikely to happen - but I would love for that direction to happen with Xbox gaming.

This survey is very likely talking just about basic PC to XB1 streaming. I don't get the part about "enhanced graphics" though...that's interesting. Could just be marketspeak for overlaying XB1 interface.

Just referring to an overlay like Steam, most likely. Not better graphics.

Yea, I realized that after I typed out my response. I edited my response.

I don't see how XB1 can get enhanced graphics over PC releases.

I mean, one of those platforms can't even do 1080p that often...:(

If it's an overlay, that's not particularly "enhanced" now, is it?

enhanced with graphics, not with enhanced graphics. OP title is wrong. Seems like it's an overlay.

It's either carefully chosen language designed to deliberately mislead the poorly-informed, or it's just badly written and shouldn't have been released like that.

OP has poorly titled the thread. The actual question being asked is if people want to be able to:

"Play PC games on your Xbox One, enhanced with graphics and dashboard"

Ah damn I just noticed I placed an extra 'with' in the title, sorry for the confusion. I edited the thread and title now so it should reflect what is being stated in the survey. I realise it probably means PC streaming, which has been mentioned and hinted before but the survey mention is still interesting on its own, given the choice of wording.

That won't change the thread title after a certain amount of time. Contact a mod if you want it changed

I bet it could play the hell out of Hover! or Fury3 at 1080p. Man I loved Fury3 back in the day with my Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro.

Get out of my PC Microsoft!!! Oh wait...

Is there a big market for stream PC games to your TV? Are the Shield and Steam Link doing well?

I'm sure when they say enhanced graphics they mean access to the guide, snap, and screenshot /record.
Personally I'd love the feature.
If they want to get real funky give me remote desktop to my pc too!

I would love to be able to stream my PC games to my XB1. I would be a lot less happy if they block it to only games you buy through the Win 10 store though.

I wish Steam streaming worked on XB1. This feature would be cool too but I can't even use the Xbox app on Windows 10 thanks to some dumb error that can only be fixed by reinstalling.

So not cloud-related at all.

Unless I'm misunderstanding it, it seems a very similar principle, using two systems to enhance one another through processing - it's just locally-sourced using network latency than internet latency.

I've never seen an ad hidden inside a survey.

That's a pretty hard sell attempt on the Elite controller.

Market probably isn't huge but there probably is a subset of users that this would be helpful to. I hope that if Microsoft ever opens up an app store for the Xbox One that Valve creates a "Steam Link" app.

yo if i can somehow run my steam library (native would be lovely, but i'd be happy with streaming too) on my xbox one then i'd be eccstatic

but i wont expect that to ever happen

Enhanced graphics? That's odd.
Maybe Xbox One will act as a networked SLI graphics card for your PC. LOL.
