Steam Helpdesk Site: Lots of upcoming games maybe leak, slowly getting confirmed

If Journey and Everybody is Gone to the Rapture turn out to be true, I can see Bloodborne ending up on Steam as part of the deal with From, it would be a million seller.

I don't see BB coming sadly...we never got demon souls either

It's an unfortunate situation, From had discovered the sheer revenue generation from PC releases and we were preserving their games indefinitely. Now we have more releases going forward stuck on proprietary platforms and a game that would have very much benefited from an increased framerate.

Million seller would be the low end of even conservative estimates.

Exactly, the more people get to play the games, the better.

Jup, I still find it unbelievable how big the PS4 exclusive list is for instance. Someone posted it in the PSX thread.

No way Sony is paying for all of them. In this day and age, especially SP games, should get a pc (and xbox one) port. It can't be that difficult and I don't need M&K controls :D

GTA San Andreas Original Audio has been sitting on Steam for the past 5 months apparently (389110 / 389550). Shouldn't have been removed from the original users' games in the first place

everybody's gone to the rapture: could pre-date sony stepping in to help with the game?

journey: could be another game with journey in the title (there are already two on steam: journey to the moon / journey to the center of the earth)

dreams: could easily be another past or future game with dreams in the title

Rapture's package is relatively new, so it would have to be post Sony stepping in.

Spirited

Mine is pretty and pink
No Goblin Game 2 might be 100ft Robot Golf that was just announced for PSVR at PSX.

Jamestown+

Plus couple things we knew about like Project Ukulele and ABZU show up there as well.

There's also something called 'luminous untitled app' that was added 3 months ago, in case someone wants to put on their speculation hat about that name. :p

I think we might need to have a talk about 'luminous untitled app'.
There is no way that isn't early FFXV porting work, right?

If that happens at all, it won't be for several years. BB is a system seller right now plain and simple. The others, not so much

I know we all like making fun of people(I know I do), but I said I was bothered by it. Im not literally or even figuratively throwing anything out of my window. Thats sarcasm.
This bothers me about as much as a fly going around my head. There's nothing to be upset about, but I cant say I like it either.
And its not list wars or who has the best console whatever, it just seems a bit dishonest. Had these games come out at the same time on every system on the planet I wouldnt even have noticed it, less objected to it. But I feel like I agreed to buy one thing, then it got changed into another thing without my say so, whether I personally care about exclusivity or not is moot. It just "feels" wrong to do that, though its really not.

All the "now I dont have to buy a Vita" and the "now I can sell my Vita" comments though, that does suck. That handheld is fucking sweet. Its dead as shit, but its fucking sweet.
Everyone buy a Vita.

Crap I just got here. Is there a giant list I can look at of all the leaks? Or are we still in the trawling phase?

No we're pretty much done, I don't think lots more will show up. This list is good but missing a few things

  • Everybody's gone to the rapture
  • Journey
  • Criminal Girls
  • Danganronpa 1 + 2
  • Steins;Gate
  • Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD
  • Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-
  • Earth Defense Force 4.1
  • Stranger of Sword City
  • Bad Rats Show
  • Half Life 3
  • Hellblade
  • Space Pirates VR
  • Arslan Musou
  • Phantom Brave
  • Ray Gigant
  • Code of Princess
  • Xblaze: Code Embryo
  • FF VI
All the "now I dont have to buy a Vita" and the "now I can sell my Vita" comments though, that does suck. That handheld is fucking sweet. Its dead as shit, but its fucking sweet.
Everyone buy a Vita.

Truth. I can't imagine playing some of these games NOT on a handheld, but if people want that, more power to them.
Still, buy a Vita

Everybodys Gone To The Rapture was added about a month ago and has been being actively worked on according to the history on SteamDB. Chances are Sony is publishing a couple smaller games on Steam along with Helldivers. Escape Plan was added around the same time as well (but much less activity).

I am also fairly sure that the dev has said in the past that their deal with Sony doesn't rule out a PC version ever happening.

Early on I think they said "no PC version" when the version was initially cancelled but the last few months around the release it was a lot of non-commital "It isn't up to us, we want to!" sort of responses.

In the wake of Helldivers, it seems like a good candidate for a PC port. Developer with heavy PC history, probably not a huge hit, PSN title.

Well, time to throw my PS4 and Vita out the window.

In all seriousness, this bothers me for some reason. And I dont even care about PC gaming. Just seems fucked up. Weird. Oh well.

Nah I feel the same way. I think it's ingrained from arguing with PCMR idiots (who are probably in ecstasy right now).

Good on y'all for getting to play some great games but I'd be lying if I said my stomach wasn't in knots.
This is some sad stuff right here.

Guilty Gear Xrd has a package called "GUILTY GEAR Xrd -SIGN Big Bang Bundle".

I wonder if that will bundle all the DLC together. People will be mad as hell if we get a super late version that's going to be out of date and we still have to buy the DLC.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Benefits of general cross platform releases: greater potential consumerbase allowing (quality) creative works to be experienced by more people, and thus increase revenue for parent company to encourage further works from the creative team.

Benefits of PC specific releases: extremely wide range of customers due to configuration variables and potentially endless longevity of creative work as distribution and accessibility transcends locked hardware "generation" platforms in favour of a sustained multi-"generation" service.

I can understand people being soured due to an unpredictable and thus respectively unfortunate financial investment in hardware they thought was the only place to access certain titles. But if you care even slightly about the quality of a project, support for the team, and as many people being able to experience that work as possible, you'd have to be batshit crazy to not be pro-multiplatform and in this particular case pro-PC.

I'm a huge advocate for preservation of creative works across all mediums to prevent them from becoming difficult to find and experience as time goes by. No platform in existence has greater security and potential for preservation other than PC.

most of it will be just colors/voices though

Guys, don't be salty. Be excited, that your favorite developers and publisher get to release their games to a new, big userbase to make money. Which leads to sequels and new IP's.

It's a fucking Win/Win-Situation.

Yup, more exposure of your favorite franchise is always good. I'm excited people are going to experience Monokuma.

What did we get last night? I was at a Christmas party last night that I can't remember.

Ni-Oh, Yakuza 0 and King of Fighter XIV were announced as "Console Exclusive", so they are likely to come to PC.

Ni no Kuni II was announced as "Console Debut".

The list of leaked game still boggles my mind. So good.

How come the shit some people are saying isn't instantly bannable? Because, seriously, it's beyond fucked up.
There's some jokes, some stuff that's like "guys it's just video games", but nothing really "fucked up".

A lot of implied PC versions from exclusivity labels tossed around at the conference.

Console exclusive (never coming to Xbox)
Console debut (first on Playstation, could go to either PC or Xbox or both)
Playstation exclusive (speaks for itself)

Listed games with label one:
Yakuza 0
King of Fighters XIV
Ni-Oh

Label 2:
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Ni No Kuni 2

Label 3:
First party titles basically.

There's more but I'm on mobile so that's all I remember offhand.

There's an "Adventure Y" listed. Pretty sure that it Baldur's Gate - Seige of Dragonspear. Adventure Y was the codename they used even before Baldurs Gate 2 EE was released.

Took a couple of glances seems like everybodies brought up the things of note. No Red Dead :(

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I don't believe I'm allowed to tell, not Capcom tho. (Playing it safe)

I can't imagine you'd run afoul of an NDA for mentioning what the game is given it's pre-purchaseable and live for pre-purchasers.

Everybody's gone to the rapture was added last month, though. With Helldivers coming, i can see it coming too

I'll either play it on my big TV... or my 7 inch tablet.

On tablet that must be good yea. But maybe it's just me, I always had some troubles playing VN on PC/non portable console. Same with some JRPG like Trails in the Sky.
I should consider buying a tablet like you, I might miss the buttons feel at start tho lol

A visual novel on PC? Damn, completely new ground.

For DR I was mostly referring to the mini games.

What? Emulation is not illegal. You have many threads about emulation here in GAF.

Yeah, I know that ;) And find those threads very strange to be honest. I know emulation isn't illegal, but really, how many gamers using the Dolphin emulator have the Wii games they emulate.
(Sorry for the off topic discussion.)

A few games like KoF and Yakuza were titled as console exclusive as opposed to "Only on PS4". Regardless of that, those games releasing on PC (or elsewhere) is an expected situation, there's precedent everywhere these days.
