Steam Helpdesk Site: Lots of upcoming games maybe leak, slowly getting confirmed

One thing I'm curious about is why not just announce it? Why do people have to find out about Xrd and FFVI through ratings leaks? Why did people have to discover DQH through a mistake is the Steam pop-up window? It just doesn't make much sense from a financial standpoint to be this vague about upcoming platform releases.
I think because if they announce it too soon, people will stop buying console edition of those titles, X and X-2 are still 51€ here.
I don't doubt that FFX PC and FFX-2 PC are happening; I just think the image isn't legitimate.
Yup, it takes two minutes to edit a page in Firefox or Chrome.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that little Steam detail was never actually on Squeenix's site. It suddenly appearing for a brief moment after the leak is just too suspicious.

Yeah, it's also differently formatted than others "Platform(Time)" and not "Time (Platform)".

It might be. People are known to debug pages or something to see stuff that isn't posted on the real site yet.

Wasn't that how the PS4 version discovered on the store?

Yep I guess they can release it so close to each other
as it seems its releasing next week
Final Fantasy 6 will arrive on Steam next week, December 16.

It will feature graphics previously recreated by Kazuko Shibuya, as well as updated controls and optimized active-time battle system. It also comes with Steam Achievements and Trading cards.
It will run you £10.99 / €14.49. Those who purchase during the first week of launch will also receive a 10% discount.

damnit I just bought FFXHD because I thought it wasn't coming ;_;
Whatever was only $9 lol

Don't worry its not despite what this thread says. The box itself says Only for Playstation. It may come to PC in a few years but no time soon.

lol

Vita release: June 30th 2015
Steam release: Oct 30th 2015

"Only on Playstation" means nothing

For you.
Eh skimmed the thread here and there but I won't believe it until there is an actual steam link.

Lol. Saying that just after a fuckload of games were confirmed in a couple of days is hilarious. Including one FF game as well. FFX/X-2 is coming. I'd bet 100$ that it will be a 2016 release.

I wonder if there are any sheltered pc gamers out there who will freak out when they see Seymour's hair.

wow what a list

The whole "need a PS4 for Japanese games" has very quickly becoming moot.

I just opened the OP for the first time and was kind of blown away.

Japan really starting to get into Steam.

The sad part, of course, is that most of these games probably won't be made available in Japan or in Japanese.

It's a "screenshot" of the page intended for public viewing, as per the URL bar. I sincerely doubt that the Steam version was briefly mentioned on said page and just happened to disappear the moment after the person took the screenshot.

If Square puts FFX on Steam before my Winter break is over I will be ecstatic. I bought it on PS4 last year but never bothered finishing X-2, as I assumed it would be coming to PC anyway.

Square is getting so close to having the whole series on Steam, and that is fantastic.

All of these exclusives going multiplatform really bothers me for some reason. I have knots in my stomach just thinking about it.

Is there a chance for KH games to come to steam? for once I want to play KH 2 at 60fps

Because of some PS3/vita games coming to steam? I don't get it.

i think it's pretty cool how fast the turn around for it was
given that's its already localized games nisa is probably publishing as well
Yeah I am glad that they are no longer tied to the vita hopefully the sales of danganronpa( it will probably sell well, it's not a graphically intensive game so there will be low system requirements) will make them more open with pc to their other franchises and future games.

With FFVI being so close to Lightning Returns, it makes me think if FFX is coming it might be sooner than I expected. I was figuring like march at earliest, and January for FFVI. But if they're willing to release ports one after the other, seems like they're not too worried about timing for some of them.

If they ever get over the music deal that prevents digital releases, I assume so. I'd say it will be very likely if 2.9 or whatever it's called includes 1.5 and 2.5.

se just dumping everything asap

It's not that crazy since Spike Chunsoft even said that they were looking into bringing their games to pc.

Well, that's news to me, so thank you for sharing! It's good to hear that they want to commit to the platform.

Yeah, what a great time to be a PC gamer. I'm so happy I invested in a good graphics card.

Yeah! Really starting to pay for itself, isn't it? The prospect of so many renowned Vita titles being made available at a discount is probably as exciting as the fact that they are being made available, at all. Stoked for the masses who will get to play these great games for the first time.
