Far Cry Primal |Story Trailer|

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjur405LdlI

Up until this point, we’ve revealed glimpses of what Far Cry Primal’s narrative is about: a hunter named Takkar survives the massacre of his clan, and rebuilds the Wenja tribe by befriending dangerous animals and battling rival factions. In the latest trailer, however, we get a better look at the people and events surrounding Takkar, with a special focus on a scarred man who calls himself Ull and doesn’t seem especially friendly.

The world that Takkar and Ull inhabit is filled with peril, and the trailer also offers a better look at brutal enemy warriors, hungry predators and one of Takkar’s more unique allies, a giant owl who spies on his enemies from above. Expect to see more in the weeks ahead, as we near Far Cry Primal’s February 23 launch date on PS4 and Xbox One, and March 1 on PC.

Wait this is interesting. Spoken language some mesolithic tongue (probably some native american language) with subtitles? Hope this is real, what a cool thing.

Ever since I saw the gameplay from Ubi's livestream, I think the game is underwhelming and looks boring.

And that trailer didn't change anything.

It almost seemed like a fake trailer. Seems pretty boring, IMO.

Honestly, I'm just looking forward to FC5 guns in (presumably) 2017. But I will give this a shot when the price is right.

Trailer looks very cool and interesting.
Looking forward to this game, it is going to be an excellent game like all other Far Cries.
And comes out at a perfect time, two weeks before The Division.

Ubisoft is earning their $120 from me, happy to give it to them, they deserve every penny.

It still blows my mind that this is even a thing. I mean, the setting is so crazy out there I'm amazed they actually went ahead and created a game.

Really hope this will do well, if only because of how different it is.

Yes, "obviously", but I don't see it in the trailers. Feels limited.

Well to be fair there has been very few trailers and marketing compared to Far Cry 4. So right now there is a big question mark for all of us of how much content is in tbe game. Which is fucking stupid on Ubisofts part by not giving this game the marketing push it needs given how it messes with the formula of far cry at a basic level removing guns.

I miss Vaas.

Edit: never did figure out what "pussy trigger" means.
I think he meant Jason was so privileged as to be able to have a woman whenever he wanted. Waving his wealth around as a mating call, the "pussy trigger". I dunno, Vaas is insane and says whatever sounds cool in his head at the moment, so it could mean nothing. :p

Pussy trigger could also just mean clit.

I said this after watching the full 2 hour stream, they would might have problems with having a decent narrative or compelling villain with a made-up language. But beyond that, its all things we've played and experience before.

Once you've played one Far Cry,...

I feel like it makes a refreshing change from modern shooting. I like the idea of having animals as companion fighters, after all nothing more satisfying in the last Far Cry than letting a beast loose on a base.

I'm in.

Oh right, totally. Didn't think of that for some reason. Makes sense.

I liked Far Cry 3 & 4 more than most, but I'm not feeling excited about this one.

.

3 and 4 were formulaic, but I still enjoyed them a lot. When I first saw the teaser for this I was pretty underwhelmed. And watching this new story trailer, I'm still pretty underwhelmed. Barring some phenomenal reviews, this'll be a "wait until deep discount" kinda purchase for me.

I can't wait for this game. Sure it's more Farcry, but that is not that bad!

Also, no towers is a huge plus, though I am suspicious that this mechanic will just be replaced with something similar.

based on all those limitations you saw in the trailers?

No, based on poor marketing failing to show what you actually do in this game. Makes it look like they've got nothing to show. Again, I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Yep, this is how I feel.

Just nothing about this game looks interesting.

I disagree. The setting itself is fascinating.

The problem for me is its using the worst bits of Far Cry (bow and arrow, animal hunting, animal attacks etc) as the backbone of the gameplay. None of those things were fun in Far Cry 4. I couldnt even be bothered to do more than a couple of shangri la missions. And here is a game that looks like its just those parts.
