Wonder if its possible that the figure is a place holder instead of Spider-Gwen?

I dunno, she has a unique torso doesn't she? Or is it just the same as the Iron Spider?

Also people don't seem to be talking about the new fire mould that's around the Pumpkin Bomb the Green Goblin is holding? Is that the new flame piece they're gonna use for Ghost Rider?

Edit: Upon closer inspection it looks like a fire mohawk? I bet that's how they're gonna do Ghost Rider. Awesome! Can't wait for pictures of that set to leak so we can find out for sure.

Looks like Iron Spider with girl hair to me. I'm hoping it's a stand in?

Figured most people had worked this out already, but the Spider-Girl is actually Ultimate Spider-Woman Jessica Drew.

Also goes without saying that that is original 616 Ben Reily Scarlet Spider in his first attempt at a costume:

Weird choices since Ben has been dead since the 90s and the current Scarlet Spider has never used that costume, and Jessica was both erased from existence recently and hasn't used that particular costume (as awesome as it is) in quite some time.

I'm still SUPER pumped that those two are in though, as much as a downer as Spider-Gwen being a no show is - come on bootleggers make her happen.

zusammengebaut.com are getting hammered, but they post on Twitter.

Can't wait for that set. I love the bridge idea. I would have preferred a different Spider-Girl costume, but I'll take it. I'm sure LEGO will give us more Spider-Girl variants.

I don't understand the why LEGO wanted the Brickset articless taken down. Seems like they could have asked LEGO blogs before the toy fair. Very curious on the reason.

Glimpse of the park set

I like it! A definite get for unique minifig prints and those new parts.

Not me. I've been out of comics for over a decade, but read them once in awhile. Thanks for the clarification on the specific version.

I rewatched episode III over the weekend with my 4 year old and that sparked my interest in picking up this set. Coincidentally someone was selling one locally on Craigslist for a good price. I grabbed 8089 Hoth Wampa Cave too.
I hope you enjoy it. 8089 looks to be a pretty fun set as well.

It's probably (whether rightly or wrongly) simply about having the control over your own product cycles. However positive the feedback might be, LEGO may not want a significant amount of information diminishing from any excitement people might have for its most current products. You see a similarly heavy-handed approach to leaked information from Wizards of the Coast in respect to the Magic: The Gathering card game.

It's also fucking stupid. The people who read Brickset news are the people who put in orders at 00:05 on the 1st every month and then wait eagerly for the next release night. I've already bought pretty much all I'm interested in until March. Hiding the summer Nexo Knights sets isn't going to make me buy Fortrex just to spend my time.

For a company with such a presence among fans, they can be absurdly clueless.

I'm not saying it's the right thing to do. I'm just trying to work out what (little) reasoning might be behind the decision. LEGO has shown itself to be quite a strict, conservative company (in certain ways) before, so this approach to what could be considered as free advertising wouldn't surprise me.

Is that a flaming pumpkin in Green Goblin's hand? Curious if that's how Ghost Rider's head looks or it is something completely different.

EDIT: Wish they made red dishes in that Friends ferris wheel to change out with Creator Ferris Wheel. It makes sense they would use the same dish colors since it saves them money in production costs. Was just wishful thinking.

It isn't quite as epic as the initial description, but it is still leagues better than most super hero play sets around that price. And oh, the figures.

Now to impatiently wait for Jack-O-Lantern and Mysterio figures.

EDIT: They say its not the final pattern, but it is still a cool model:

Eh not a fan of that pattern. Looks kinda ugly actually.

Got back with my exclusive iron man fig.

Back pic, didn't know it came with a printed plate for the back. It's a two stud back, probably a re-colored piece like the lex armor from that fig. I don't have it I so I don't know for sure but they look alike. It's interesting because you could probably moc some cool thrusters or something for the piece if you wanted.

Iron Man after getting drunk and falling down stairs.

Disappointed Spider-Girl is Spider-Woman and not Spider-Gwen but at least Marvel is finally branching out with the figs. I'm not really sure how I feel about the Bridge set now. It is different then I imagined from the reports but realistically its a big retail set and now an exclusive UCS type set so expectations should be in check I guess. It looks a little smaller but it looks really solid and not disjointed so that is a huge plus.

I'm not a car person, but read in some comments it's used to hide car curves/features before car makers do a public release.

I believe someone pointed out in the old thread it's a Chima armor piece.

Is that Vulture I spot at the bottom middle of this pic? Can anyone ID the white character on the bottom? Has a black pony tail and white costume.

Ah ok, there you go. Useful piece and the printed pieces are nice.

Oh geez those Super Hero sets. Love those new web pieces. LOVE that Doc Ock mech and so glad we are getting classic Sinister Six figs and not Ulimate versions. Those goblin gliders need work. Ghost Rider and his bike reminds me of that Shredder Bike set from TMNT and I loved that set. I'm lmao though at the street sign build. That is straight up taken from that small TMNT set with Karai almost 1:1.

Loving that Bat Copter, looks menacing as hell. Tractor guy being run down by Scarecrow is hilarious and love that Scarecrow fig. Killer Moth is cool and Blue Beetle is so so good. Bat Tank is hilariously overkill and awesome. I'm not liking that Croc vehicle at all though, it looks stupid and extremely fragile. I've never understood the point of trying to give Killer Croc a vehicle. They were better off trying to give Captain Boomerang a Boomerang jet or something.

Yup, auto manufacturers use camo to hide the design when they're doing preproduction testing on public roadways.

As for the sets, most of the stuff is pretty meh to me. The octan gas station is really the only set that gets me excited as I had one as a little kid. But I'm pretty sure the one I had had a car wash in it, so this one is not even as good. And I'm not really putting any high hopes on the Star wars stuff.

The more I look at the volcano sets, the more I feel like I may pass on most, if not all that particular line. The airport sets, however, look very nice, as does the gas station and park set.

I think that Excavator may be my first Technic purchase.

I have a feeling you are not the first person who's thought that upon seeing the Excavator today.

versus just getting the missing pieces from Bricks & Pieces directly?
About this, I've read a couple of times people saying that they had used Brick & pieces instead of Pick a brick because the selection was larger. Can you actually order anything from Brick & pieces?

I might have to get 2 of the park sets. I'm very happy to see the new hot dog in a vendor format. He'll go great in my city.

All the Super Hero sets look great. Last year's line was a bit touch and go IMO, and the few sets we started the year with had me a little concerned. It looks like Lego is doing some nice builds for the upcoming sets instead of just nice minifigs with a thrown in build.

I love all the airport stuff. I also have the perfect spot to display it as well, so maybe I'm dip my toes in that theme for the first time since this old treasure:

Man, I want a lot of sets this year. It certainly makes my decision to pass on the GB HQ more palatable seeing how much further I can stretch my dollar with sets I am more excited about.
