Dat Forza/Halo/Gears

Sunset Overdrive, Ryse and D4 are not Microsoft first party IP though.

Cobalt (Mojang), Project Knoxville (Press Play) on the other hand are other examples of MS new IP. Phil is making huge moves on the first party side, people that think otherwise are beeing foolish.

They were all signed by Phil as head of Microsoft Studios, who owns what is fairly irrelevant, he signed a bunch of new IPs.

Although tbf Ryse was 7 years in the works and changed concepts at least once if not twice so that was probably slightly generous to add it to the list

It's about people's hearts after they cancelled Phantom Dust.
Phil has mentioned PD a lot lately. It is not cancelled. They made the right move getting that team off the project because it looked like shit. Actual fans of Phantom Dust should be thanking them for switching Devs. I do feel sorry for the studio that closed but it looked bad in many ways.

@OP I dont think anybody can predict what something is based off a name so i find it amusing a few immediately predicts Hololense or Mobile. I wouldnt be surprised as Microsoft makes games for consoles, pc, mobile, and hololense, but you can hardly predict something like that based off a name.

As for hopes, Id like to see Lionhead's new IP one day. Maybe Fragments will be it. Microsoft has a tendency to have a surprise second party developer work on their games though, so who knows.

Regardless Phil Spencer already has made a statement that this will be a big year for new ip

Whatever it is, it's shown up on the Windows Store. It’s obviously not meant to be viewable yet so you can’t search for it, but you can get there by entering this run command:
Code:
ms-windows-store://pdp/?productId=9NBLGGH5GGM8

Pretty much.

Yep. A few years ago I can see people calling xbox's lineup only Forza, Halo, Gears and I'd probably agree with them but I don't see how you can say that now. Just looking at their 2016 lineup should tell you they're at least trying to change that, if Recore alone being made/funded by MS doesn't tell you they're trying to diversify their lineup from just Halo/Gears/Forza then I don't know what will, because if you said to me 5 years ago MS would have had a game like that I think everyone would have laughed at you.

What's Wisteria? (EDIT: Ahh, the color of the background).

Nevertheless, there are more apps popping up.

Young Conker? (Perhaps sequel to Conker's Bad Fur Day?)
P.S. Sunset Orange is also referring to the color, not Sunset Overdrive.

How did you know the product id?

Sunset Overdrive/Conker hybrid by Insomniac.

I didn't. WalkingCat (the Twitter account that I linked the image to) did. I'm not sure how he got it, but the app ID is shown in the URL whenever you visit the web version of the Windows Store. For example the URL for ROTR:

Code:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/store/apps/rise-of-the-tomb-raider/[B]9nblggh6crsz[/B]

So I assume he was doing some deep digging in the web version of the store -- as he often does on many different MS sites -- and came across Fragments.

Some great digging done there.

I wanted to say it's Kameo related but the store tile changed my mind.

And there it is, like clockwork.
I just love how he made that comment that doesn't address the OP at all and didn't even follow up his claim.

If that really is rated M it sounds like it could be actual game, not just mobile filler. I'm always stoked to see new IP's, more interesting than seeing sequels to known franchises.

Spiritual successor to Soldier of Fortune.
