Honestly, it now really does look like it will be next year. The simple fact that they couldn't even tell there investors " Hey! we will discuss nx at E3 this year". I guess Zelda U is going to be the biggest thing we get this year.

They will announce NX in the next one, as part of their fiscal guidance for the coming fiscal year. Or it will be announced separately before that.

2016 was always wishful thinking because the wiiu has no gas, when if it was successful it would.
Nintendo has no desire to rush a system out this year. They really, really dont.
Both the Wii U & the 3DS are on their last legs. Nintendo can't really delay any the NX Platform any longer.

Wii U I agree with the above statement. The 3DS? i don't think so, I think the system can go on for another year or 2.
It does seem like it could be pretty ambitious so it will depend on whether they think they can generate enough revenue from Amiibo and mobile as to whether they push for NX in 2016. From a gamer's perspective though they definitely need a new console.
We don't know this. And if they were to release one this year there's no telling whether it's a rush job or not.
Still don't believe it. It's happening this year. Too many things line up.

3DS is on its' way out sooner I think. Wii U software seems to still be selling at a decent clip for them.

Nah, NX is coming at the end of this year in some form or another. The Wii U and even the 3DS don't have anything left after the second half of 2016 and nothing is coming in 2017 besides Bloodstained on Wii U which is kickstarter.

100 millions as a "first milestone" (assuming the translation is accurate) sounds pretty ambitious.
If you assume every single Wii U owner has a 3DS (that's not a good assumption but let's be conservative), then that's about 40 million unique accounts, which leaves about 60 million other accounts to, uh, account for.
That is real ambitious for Miitomo downloads, but it also depends on the other ways they might get people to register. Maybe their second game will be much bigger, maybe it's way easier to register than we think and it can be done at a booth at Universal Studios.

Attributing this to a lack of NX news is newborn baby naive.
Delaying QOL and not showing off Mario for phones is more likely.
So this is what I predict to happen with NX now:
-Will be revealed until E3
-Very vague and briefly
-Because the damn thing will launch until 2017
-Will not replace either Wii U or 3DS but rather become a new pillar.
-Wii U and 3DS will get a bunch of crappy spin-off games to survive this year until Zelda U and Pokémon Z launches.
-Retro shows it's new game: DKCR 3 for Wii U.
-Meltdowns everywhere.
-Will be revealed until E3
-Very vague and briefly
-Because the damn thing will launch until 2017
-Will not replace either Wii U or 3DS but rather become a new pillar.
