amiibo cards shipped 12.90m on Q3.

Total amiibo card sales at 21.5m

So...we're expecting combined amiibo sales to surpass 3DS sales by the end of FY then?

If they're smart, downloading a 'MyNintendo' app and linking it to a Nintendo NNID will give you a ton of points, and logging into it once a week will also give you points.

Im really suprised you guys expect nx news at a briefing for a sysetm coming in 2017

Honestly, it now really does look like it will be next year. The simple fact that they couldn't even tell there investors " Hey! we will discuss nx at E3 this year". I guess Zelda U is going to be the biggest thing we get this year.

They will announce NX in the next one, as part of their fiscal guidance for the coming fiscal year. Or it will be announced separately before that.

Sales of Splatoon amiibo in Japan, Nintendo could barely keep up with demand.
They are surely doing a season 2 amiibo line for splatoon. Money left on the table if not.

2016 was always wishful thinking because the wiiu has no gas, when if it was successful it would.

Nintendo has no desire to rush a system out this year. They really, really dont.

Revenue of digital sales increasing, citing DLC as the main factor for growth in Q3, revenue in Q3 at 30.5 billion yen.

Shares per region, same colors as mentioned before.

Imagine if Callie and Marie amiibos were true. Damn that would be sold out in no time.

Both the Wii U & the 3DS are on their last legs. Nintendo can't really delay any the NX Platform any longer.

It does seem like it could be pretty ambitious so it will depend on whether they think they can generate enough revenue from Amiibo and mobile as to whether they push for NX in 2016. From a gamer's perspective though they definitely need a new console.

We don't know this. And if they were to release one this year there's no telling whether it's a rush job or not.

Still don't believe it. It's happening this year. Too many things line up.

Earn Platinum Points by using Nintendo's smart device apps, logging into the eShop. Trade Platinum Points to obtain original goods and digital content.

Earn Gold Points by buying digital software. Trade gold points for discounts on future purchases.

They also talk about playing games and interacting with certain communication from Nintendo as a way to earn points, but don't specify the sort of points it would be, although they point out that playing games on Wii U/3DS won't earn you points at this stage, but logging in to the eShop from there will.

These points are in addition to the current 'Just for you' and 'Birthday' discounts they offer.

They talk about expanding My Nintendo to include cloud services, friend management, and in-store bonuses in the future.

Nah, NX is coming at the end of this year in some form or another. The Wii U and even the 3DS don't have anything left after the second half of 2016 and nothing is coming in 2017 besides Bloodstained on Wii U which is kickstarter.

100 millions as a "first milestone" (assuming the translation is accurate) sounds pretty ambitious.

If you assume every single Wii U owner has a 3DS (that's not a good assumption but let's be conservative), then that's about 40 million unique accounts, which leaves about 60 million other accounts to, uh, account for.

That is real ambitious for Miitomo downloads, but it also depends on the other ways they might get people to register. Maybe their second game will be much bigger, maybe it's way easier to register than we think and it can be done at a booth at Universal Studios.

well, what if they learned from last gen and want to reveal it only when they have all their stuff in a presentable form?

remember the Wii U's reveal? it was confusing and barren of actual games and they revealed it too early.

They said they'd give more info this year though, and it'd be weird for them to do that if it wasn't coming out in 2016 or they'd undercut Wii U sales this year.

So this is what I predict to happen with NX now:

-Will be revealed until E3
-Very vague and briefly
-Because the damn thing will launch until 2017
-Will not replace either Wii U or 3DS but rather become a new pillar.
-Wii U and 3DS will get a bunch of crappy spin-off games to survive this year until Zelda U and Pokémon Z launches.
-Retro shows it's new game: DKCR 3 for Wii U.
-Meltdowns everywhere.

Titles with the highest digital downloads.

Super Smash Bros. for WiiU
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
Mario Kart 8
Pokemon Rumble World
Mii Streetpass plaza?

While I would like the game, it would be a waste and another game sent out to die.

I want the sound effect for each and every coin I earn.

I also want a virtual piggy bank.

I wanna be able to shake it too.
