The PC benchmark is performed on an MSI Radeon R9 380 2gb | Intel i7-5820K | 16GB

Quite a significant difference in visuals and performance between low and ultra.

Options:

PROTIPS:

For SLI, set the SLI compatibility bits to Deus Ex (0x00C00005). Works almost flawlessly with 90-95% scaling. 80-100 fps on 4k ultra (Titan X SLI)

RTSS works great with in-game Vsync off

My NVI settings, in case the bits alone didn't work

No 1920x1200 option? Or will it show up when I boot the game up?

Likely just does what sensible games do and query the OS for available resolutions, so if you have a 1920x1200 monitor or custom resolution, then it should show in there for you.

Would be good to have a look at what the other options are, not just low and ultra. I'm going to be running this at (hopefully) 3440x1440 and I,d like to get it to 30fps. Curious what are the big hitters regarding performance.

I really hate when games use Unity because I have yet to be proven wrong about the bad performance of that engine. So far I haven't played a single one on PC that didn't have some performance problems.

The engine is crap for anything more complex than a high-end mobile game (if even that..).

I hate to support games that use it as well, but I really want to play this game and I'm just gonna have to deal with the crappy performance.

Damn, sounds like Unity is responsible for the game's performance issues. Still going to try it on PC first and see how well I can run it, atleast on PC there is the option of getting a refund.

Sounds like it runs pretty badly. Hopefully it'll be tolerable with a gamepad, just sitting back relaxing.

how does that make sense? Plenty of multiplatform games have been solid 60 fps PC games while they have issues on the consoles.

this just seems to be more of a Unity issue, which isn't surprising since Gone Home also ran weirdly uneven on PCs too.
Exactly his/her point, it makes sense it runs bad because it's running on unity

Well I was expecting an easy 1080p/60fps without dips, but apparently that won't be the case.

Waiting on 980ti owners impressions, want to know if it can sustain 1080p/60 on that card with everything on ultra, if it can't can we call this the arkham knight of indie games? o_O

But they are the ones that chose the engine to use or am I missing something?

True. However there were very few Unity games of the same scale as their game to compare against. In the time since they started all these large Unity games started showing up.

Why are none of the PC reviews mentioning the poor performance?

I don't think averaging 44 maxed settings at 1080P with a 380 is that bad of performance... It's a sub-$200 graphics card. I'd imagine a 970 will be a pretty solid 60fps @1080P and a 980 Ti should do the same @1440P.

I thought this game was gonna be an easy 60fps on my PC.

Guess Unity is to blame

This.

I am very surprised... but then i see Unity and i am not. Unity has a lot of advantages, but man is it hard to work with it sometimes.

Are there any benchmarks that ran of a card with more than 2GB VRAM? I wouldn't be surprised if Unity's shite performance is in fact the culprit, but at the same time I could imagine that there might be issues caused by the card itself.

The issues I'm personally concerned about aren't the averages, but things like the wild swings in frame rate and stuttering present in many Unity games.

I am not really up to date on AMD cards so that is reassuring to be honest, I imagine a overclocked 980 would hit 60fps on this at 1080 then?

The 380 is pretty much the AMD equivalent of a GTX 960. So yeah, a 980 should be totally fine if these benchmarks are any indication.

I think people read AMD R9 390 and that's why they're freaking out. Frame rate seems very inconsistent anyway, hopefully doesn't go below 60 on 390/970 level of hardware.

Yeah, a 380 is about 960 level, so those FPS scores aren't too bad really.

Of course, since it's Unity, I wouldn't be surprised if it suffers from intermittent stutter at any framerate.

I have a 2600K, 8GB of ram, and a GTX 570. Is there any hope for me at 1200p? High settings would be nice, but maybe it's nice to want things.
