Rumor: Forza 6 and Forza Horizons 3 coming to Windows 10

Forza 6 with a PC wheel would be good. The fact that you can only buy wheels that are compatible with PC+PS4 or PC+XB1 is frustrating but this would help

they'd have to specifically build support for third party wheels if it's a windows store exclusive

which it probably would be

and i doubt they'd prioritize that

Less Xbox, less third party games.

I don't see third parties ignoring the Xbox One, not with Microsoft behind.

Sharing exclusives with Windows 10 would be a very sensible move, there is no negative as far as the whole platform is concerned.

I hope it's false, they need to keep some exclusives to the Xbox... Is Microsoft throwing the towel already ?
What a strange thing to say, hoping PC only gamers won't get to play a game.

How do you feel about Quantum Break ?

Of course they will. I think we'll just end up with Xbox becoming a WinStoreMachine
Next week is some sort of MS conference. I bet they will be teasing all that PC/Xbox cross play

I've already said this in other threads previously but surely Microsoft have to be aware of the demand for Halo FPS games on PC. I mean they can't possibly have ignored the hype around the Halo rumors on Steam.

They know there is demand, even if the MCC is "old". I don't understand why they have not already made that move.

It would be such a killer app for the Windows store. It would obliterate anything else and this is coming from someone who really is not thrilled by the Halo IP, but yeah I will absolutely buy it just to prove to Microsoft that the store can be successful.

Ball is in their camp.

They see Halo Online also i think. There is demand.

Crazy times.
I wonder what happens to the console market if Sony is the only big console maker for third parties after this gen

Didn't they show Forza 6 running on a PC as a DirectX 12 example last year?

Forza 5 but yeah.

There are also some behind the scenes footage of Turn 10's studio where you can see F5 running in what's titled "DX11 game render" or something like that.

EDIT: Also when asked about Forza PC, the response was "we'll never say never"

We'll have this answer in every one of these threads won't we?

I am serious though. I was really considering purchasing an xbox one because of Forza Horizons 2 and Forza 6. If the horizons sequel and forza 6 is coming to PC, there is no reason for me to purchase an Xbox One

WPdang has a pretty great track record on Windows phone and Windows tumors as well, so it's not just some random blog

Edit: and of course I meant Forza Horizon not Horizons -.-
Windows Tumors: Microsoft enters the QOL market!

FYI, Forza 6 is at the Xbox/Win 10 preview event next week, which a lot of people thought odd since why have Forza 6 there just for people to play some new car pack. I'm guessing Forza 6 for Win10 will officially get revealed and playable at the event

This is all good and well but watch the steering wheel sitation be a mess because of their insistence on using the windows store.

Well there goes my reason to buy an xbox one

If you've been passing up the countless sales and free game offers galore at this point, then you probably didn't have serious intentions to begin with.

Anyways I hope they bring over Forza and might as well get Halo to. Xbox is just the dumbed down Windows baby brother at this point.

It would be interesting to see what modders could do to forza if they had the chance.

Apparently the Win 10 store version of Tomb Raider does not allow modding/overlays since it runs as a sandboxed W10 app (please correct me if wrong), so that's the catch here with these games.

Lovely, gonna buy them all. Looks like MS wasn't bullshitting about the commitment to PC gaming this time.

Well this may not be an apt comparison but , so as long as the 3rd party wheels support xinput then things should be good right? All PC fight sticks are confirmed to work on KI when it hits W10, maybe this is a similar circumstance?

Yep and peripheral support is also shaky.

Whats genuinely weird is that they arent doing Halo 5. Considering how hard they are pushing Halo as a competitive sport again, I would have thought that would be a no brainer. PC is where you build a competitive community when it comes to games. Its where all the big hitters are. And the kind of exposure it could get there would massively benefit future Halo on the consoles.

If they want to play that game, they need to buy the platform... It's what exclusives are suppose to do...

In terms of the Xbox One? Sure seems like it.

In terms of gaming? Doesn't seem like it.

Sure, I was talking about the Xbox Brand and not Microsoft as a all ; )

It's not up to them specifically. They don't get to decide if a PC version is part of the plan.
That's Microsoft's call.

But yeah I doubt a DX12 PC build would be that huge of an investment (although far from trivial). The point of contention is of course projected sales.
I'm not shrewd market analyst but I suspect Halo the MCC would bring more revenue and cast light on their store.

But we already are on that platform. Xbox means more than your beloved console now.
Get used to it.

It's a safe bet Halo 5 would sell very well even exclusive to the Windows 10 store. If I was in charge I would have already proceeded to make it cross buy/cross play with Windows 10.

The negative is that I would be forced to buy it only to reward Microsoft's initiative.

Horizon 3 i can see work on PC. But i doubt Forza Motorsport is gonna be popular in PC.
They are better simulation games on the PC.

Eh, if Forza comes to PC I'll probably play it more than any other choices I have. It would be nice to have a series with hundreds of official cars and the kind of backing that Turn 10 has.

Fingers crossed owning it on X1 gives me the PC copy for free!

Putting a game on PC isn't going to stop the 90+% of people that play games from buying a console and console games. Bringing console games to PC does nothing but increase software sales and profit. The console hardware hit is trivial.

The Xbox version already supports wheels. It shouldn't be too difficult to bring that support across to PC. Releasing a racing sim on PC without wheel support would be dumb

I have a PS4 and I have not even played any of the games that were given to me for free via PS+ except Binding of Isaac. The free games and sales don't really mean anything to me because I mostly likely already own it on PC or the sales arent as good compared to the PC counterpart.

GOW4 & Scalebound part is not correct.

WPDang just mentioned about what GAMESPOT reported previously.

The source told WPDang only Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2 & Forza 6.

Yeah, but surely for them to say it at least means discussions had taken place maybe? Either way with a new rumour behind it I'd like to think that's the case.

This is what I want to know most since I preordered the most expensive version of the game to get the early access and the car pass.

I hope all my stuff would carry over and I wouldn't need to buy it again

Definitely not an STD, as I'm a pure.
Damn if all this is true, I'm loving this new Microsoft. I'll be building my first PC hopefully this Christmas. No need to get a Xbox One again after I sold mine 3 months after I got it back in 2014.

Now bring Halo MCC and Halo 5 Gaurds.

does it support "wheels" or does it support microsoft's wheel?

because i'm sure they'll have support for their own peripherals, i'm just skeptical about a logitech wheel working

Would be great ! Now bring on Sunset Overdrive on Windows 10 as well ! This game deserves more players and a sequel !

As far as I'm concerned, I prefer console over PC, I need an entertainment system plugged to my TV. So I think games on W10 won't hurt Xbox One THAT much, and it's great to have more cross play games !

I think they're saving Halo for a big announcement. It'll be one of those deals where they announce it, and then say it's for download right now.

For sure I don't think it's completely outlandish. I mean if Microsoft want to make the store popular there is only one way to do it : bring the games PC gamers want to spend money on.

It's that simple, and ignore the noise made by a few console fanatics.

i'm curious as to whether they'd support mouse and keyboard controls with halo pc

And Halo fits perfect with the PC "mindset"
Long time to kill, skill based, free dlc, dedi servers, esport backing.
