The Witcher 3 is now the Most Awarded game of all time. (Currently at 251 awards)

No please don't.
This game is a shit ton more ambitious than FO4. With way better mission and sidequest design, a much better choice system, less glitches, better performance(despite WAY better graphics), and a much better plot than Bethesda's offering and don't get me started on the character animation being way worse than W3 on every level.

Such an amazing feeling to see this happening for CDProjekt as I've been a fan since The Witcher 1 and I just fell in love with them for their ethics and business practices. They deserve this so much and they've worked so hard. It must feel so satisfying for Konrad Tomaszkiewicz right now to come up from a game tester who just loved Sapkowski novels and classic PC RPG's to being the director of the most lauded title of all time. It has to be an amazing feeling; I hope he gives himself time to take it all in and enjoy it.

It's a false claim to say "of all time", because the way of counting changed over the years. It's just dumb.

Were you saying the same in 2013? In terms of counting which game received the most awards, it hasn't. The only difference is that there were less awards given out this year than in 2013, this site is the original source when the TLOU was declared as having the most GOTY awards at the time.

So you're just being negative and dismissive for the sake of negativity then? Well at least you're honest.
I'm saying the whole idea of trying to flaunt the idea that a game has collected the most game of the year awards across the years when every year is handled differently than the last year is dumb.

If you want your penis comparisons then you define the rules before the competition and not after.

Yes I was.
Well at least you're consistent. Still, this helpful blog has been doing this for years, the only thing that's changed is the amount of awards handed out each year, (fluctuates as sites close and now ones open). However, the fact that there's always been a highest number, that's easily discernible.

This.
A Fallout game with Witcher's level of quest writing and graphical detail? Why would you not want that?
I don't see anything that Bethesda did for F4 that is better than what CDP did for Witcher3.
I get that some people might like the Fallout setting, or prefer FPS gun-based combat. But when people say "pay attention Bethesda", they mean for the reason's Eden highlights.
I don't think anyone is asking for Fallout 5 to remove the guns and add magic, swords and a horse!

The Witcher 1's Wild Hunt isn't consistent with the books, The Witcher 3's is. So,
it was always "fucking elves".

Well, if it's any consulation. The handling of Ciri and The White Frost isn't great.
Ciri would never be able to stop The White Frost.
But then again, The Witcher games aren't canon with the books, so CD Projekt probably didn't care that much to match every single thing.

I just don't care much for treating source material as somehow sacrilegious (for instance, I love The Watchmen's movie ending a lot more). I just thought the route that they took in the games was boring as hell and unintriguing, had I read the books beforehand I would have still felt the same way because
I fucking hate elves.

And yes that is partly why I thought Ciri and The White Frost's handling was silly as fuck and tepid and "safe".
The whole lead up I was construing the White Frost as literally just space (as in it's just byproduct of The Wild Hunt's doings and just basically the vaccuum of space effectively draining warmth from anything and everything due to their planewalking).
And I'm sure there will be people who think my desired narrative is equally dumb but that's narrative interpretations and whatnot.

Of all time? What about a game like say Tetris or SMB that has been around for decades? I would have imagined they would have garnered more awards simply due to them being around longer

Good to see something so ambitious in scope get the accolades it did.

They could have simplified it and streamlined the gameplay to get a bigger audience but nailed expanding + creating the world even further than previous.

EA could take some lessons in ambition and how to nail a big world. Battlefront 2 + Mass Effect Andromeda, take note before you release!

N o doubt, hands down, the best! Gameplay, quests, and characters were really good, and enjoyable! And the story! It is simply the best of all time to me! Probably because I have a sister I kinda raised, and I can relate to Geralt and Ciri soo much! That feeling at the end
when you let Ciri back, and support her, because you know that she's got it. Then they but you ahead in time and you ride your horse and meet up with the dwarfs, and you get the sword and you're like "OMG, don't fuck with me, shecantbedead shecantbedead shecantbedead!!" And you meet her, she gets the sword. It jsut felt soo rewarding and made feel so warm, it's awesome
.
The Witcher 3 is one of the (if not the) greatest journeys you will ever have in gaming!

Most of those "awards" are from random internet sites and blogs picking their favourite games. Most of them are not actual "awards" (e.g. like the Golden Joysticks or the BAFTAs), but just GOTY picks by various critics and fans.

The internet wasn't big when SMB or Tetris were around, so you didn't have sites and blogs handing out "awards" back then. But SMB and Tetris have appeared on a lot of GOAT lists. The game that still dominates GOAT lists to this day is Ocarina of Time:
