Okay so I sideloaded the APK on to my android phone and I'm playing it now but I have a couple questions.

1. I haven't linked my Nintendo Account, but when I do will it overwrite my Mii? I like the one I made from scratch on Miitomo better than the one i have now.

2. I keep reading I'll lose progress and just to treat it as a 'trial' is this still true? or do I have to download it from the Play Store when it actually releases in the US.

1.) I don't think you'll have to start over. Just make sure you like it to MyNintendo once the app launches worldwide!

2.) it's possible that the app store just updates the app you sideloaded. It happens to me before, but that was a different app, so I won't promise anything.

Maybe it's referring to the fact that Nintendo software will now be available to the masses, for free even. COMMU(nist)nication? COMMUNI(st)CATION?

This is starting to feel like a Cloverfield-like ARG.

Tried that but it doesn't work for me, it just moves around, it's very weird, when there are 2 miis it works even if I touch them directly, and even there I don't know exactly how I am doing it, I select a mii and it moves, I touch it again and it rotates and then touch the same mii again and the other mii gets selected, and sometimes that won't work

I also have the all caps problem

Please tell me if my Mii sounds weird or funny, considering switching the language to English.
Might change my Mii a bit since some expressions definitely looks weird with that face.
Edit : quickly switched to English and it sounds alright, not going to change :3

Temporary fix for the caps lock issue is turning off auto-capitalization in your Android settings.

Settings -> Lauguage & input -> Google Keyboard -> Preferences -> Auto-capitalization

The app is so charming, don't regret trying it even if I have to restart from fresh for the western release and there is already a lot of people playing.

Hes the reason why i own many of the Wii games that i do today thanks to his old videos. So its bittersweet seeing this dude want Disney to buy Nintendo or for Treehouse reps to get fired.

Dug up my old, barely used twitter account just for this. You can add '@supersaiyanshit' to the list, I'll add everyone else on there when it's live for international markets

...Altough I'm not sure if my oldass smartphone can even run that thing upon release!

Btw the dropping game is just pure evil. I have so much candy that I really don't have any use for. Feels like the game should be tweaked a little in this regard.

Shit. I got an update so I updated the game, now I have to start all over again?!

EDIT: Yeah, it's completely wiped. What a load of shit.

This fixed it for me, it should be on the op

Also what is the notification sound? to me it kinda sounds like a mii sneezing, it scared me the first time

Android, used VPN, figured it'd be safe to update. Didn't link anything because I'm not in Japan, but unlike any other game I got that way, apparently a patch is enough to wipe the whole thing clean, so don't update anything until you linked your Nintendo account to it. :\

Now that I'm restarting, an "invite all" or at least a checklist for who to send a request to would be nice, because it's going to take bloody forever to get 50 friend requests out again.

EDIT: Okay, added everyone again. Only real loss I'm mourning is that I was pretty much the Style Empress, had super cute socks and a swell picture with my Mii swooning all over James Marsden but I can get over it.

I'm on iOS 9.2.1, iPad 4, and the game is running perfectly.
Edit : wonder how you get popularity pts, I was at 5 without any heart of comments, got 2 hearts and still 5 pts.
Edit 2 : shared a pic on Twitter, maybe this has something to do with it.

Seems my previous character is still around somehow, saw the comments I made earlier. Wonder if there's anyway to get it back. Linking with Twitter did nothing.

Updating should fix the crashing due to the twitter linking issues. (Twitter accounts that have a GIF avatar or too many followers.)

i am never getting rid of my animated gif avatar on twitter dang it

twitter needs to make it so the animation works everywhere too

and as far as i know the update fixes it by just not showing it at all

Not sure why updating would make you lose your data, that sounds like it'll be a serious problem if a required update comes out.
