Loved Max Payne, hated Alan Wake. Not sure what to do here, but the reports on the story being dumb are not very encouraging.
I do what I do because I can and will continue to do it. I've been doing this way for years before using it on gaf. Please provide feedback to gifs via PM in the future please, no need to have a discussion about it in threads, kthx.
Gun sounds lack punch though. My only real complaint with the game

Yea apparently 2 screens are enough to sell PC folks a copy of this. Lol
If it's an issue just wait until those of us who are getting the PC version for free have a chance to play it.

Most of us get the free version with the Xbox 1 preoder I would have to guess. And it's not like the game will look worse on PC or what are you suggesting?
So far it's pretty engaging. It's your popcorn cinema science fiction thriller story. I have seen way worse stories. It's fun to watch and play. Mind that I'm just in Act 2.

That's a Steam thing. They really want to separate their store from stuff like that on PC....lol.
It's not possible with the way things work in the store currently no.
Close the game and reopen. Happened on Eurogamer stream.
Microsoft is pushing the Quantum Break Xbox One bundle so I'm not surprised that they (and the press) aren't giving a lot of attention to the PC version.

Thanks so much, was annoying me so much and I was playing around with TV settings instead.
I don't think that should be the reason to not give PC the attention when they clearly want to build out the Windows Store. Get the players where they are at and not put a wall up there. People are going to be more hesitant to buy something without more information on it with their version. Either way, we'll know tomorrow how it holds up and all the bugs that come with it.
Oh no, I agree that the PC version should be getting more attention but I'm not surprised that it isn't since I'm sure they want to push the fact that it's an Xbox One game more right now in part due to the console bundle.

Is it moving along at least? I disliked the plot of AW (besides the fact that it had its head up its own ass) that it kept interrupting itself, if that makes any sense. There was very little sense of progression, just groping in the dark.
Game arrived a day early. So far it's pretty entertaining.
I can see people who get up in arms about technical graphics issues having a field day, because while it looks great it's not hyper-crisp 1080p presentation and there is definitely something going on (a blurring or something) at times with how things are rendered.
My biggest complaint is that right now I can't download that ridiculous 75GB video file. Hopefully soon.

You can skip them just as much as you can skip any cutscene in any video game, but you'll have trouble following the story.

It still doesn't make sense because in the future when they have those bundles with PC releases, they would do the same thing? That's dumb in my opinion. I think that they are just marketing it to the console crowd right now and making a mistake in marketing imo. Just doesn't make sense. I could guess that because it was announce so late for PC that they didn't really have a plan on how to market it.

Preloading in general doesn't exist on the W10 store. I mean, they can't even be bothered to put up a page for the game before release.
Up to the point where I am the pacing is superb. Story progresses while you play and I don't feel like there is too much firefights before you progress through the story.
Show also really helps with the progress imo.
Yeah you can skip them without losing too much of the story but I think it's not too cheap and really worth the watch.
Well that is unfortunate. I remember reading somewhere that they were planning on allowing preload for windows 10 but I guess not.

Yeah, I still think that MS would give more attention to the console version of games with console bundles in the future. Them doing that doesn't mean treating the PC version of those games the way they are currently treating/handling the PC version of Quantum Break though.

Well I got Quantum Break delivered to my house today which is great, the rubbish part is that it is taking forever to install the 4.2gb update because my internet is not great and I can't play until that is installed. After two and a half years you would think Microsoft would have sorted this out. If this was a ps4 game I would be able to play while the update downloaded and I would be given an ETA.
