Yup.What's the actual source? Sony's financials?
Welp.Sony's PlayStation Network sales hit 529 million yen which means that PSN generated more revenue than the whole of Nintendo (504m yen).
We've made it big, boys.We did it bros!
Holy shit. I never would've expected that. Good for Sony though.
This is even more impressive than the shipment numbers. Damn.
Sony should really rethink forced subscription for online play, PSN is obviously big enough to generate profit without it now and as much as it increase their profit, it's also driving some users away on the long run, the same goes for MS.
If we went back to 2007, this would probably be the most unbelievable thing we could tell them

Gaming profit ~2x compared to last year
+ mobile losses significantly down.
This is good.
We ain't never ever going back to the old PS3 online model.Sony should really rethink forced subscription for online play, PSN is obviously big enough to generate profit without it now and as much as it increase their profit, it's also driving some users away on the long run, the same goes for MS.
Digital gonna keep gaining momentum. Crazy about it's growth YoY
Um, that's probably exactly why these figures are what they are.Sony should really rethink forced subscription for online play, PSN is obviously big enough to generate profit without it now and as much as it increase their profit, it's also driving some users away on the long run, the same goes for MS.
Is it me or is this a low number: $5.25 million ?
There's absolutely zero evidence to support this claim. If what you said even had a remote chance of happening, you would have seen PSN numbers flatline long ago. Especially considering the userbase was coming from a free online platform.Sony should really rethink forced subscription for online play, PSN is obviously big enough to generate profit without it now and as much as it increase their profit, it's also driving some users away on the long run, the same goes for MS.
Aligning the time lines, this is on the right path to be a bigger plunder than GT5 on PS3, in terms of delays at least. Just why did GT have to be my favorite Sony in house IP.40 million PS4 shipped and still not a single gameplay video of GT...
