Also I don't think the guy on the Battlefield boxarts is usually the protagonist of the campaign, just a generic soldier dude.

All of which are fictional. Here you're talking about an actual war, one of the bloodiest in history where real mean lost their lives in the most horrific conditions you can think of and yet if it will be like any other DICE single player Battlefield campaign, then it will be glorifying in the violence.

Like I said in my previous post, you can have games in WW1, but a shooty mcbang bang FPS game? Can't see it working.

I'm a vet, and my thoughts on violence have changed considerably pre and post military, and everyone can have their own opinion, but I would be offended if the AFG war wasn't made into a game because of the shady circumstances surrounding it. I made sacrifices and my friends did too. It's an opportunity to educate people on what happened. I get what you're saying that BF games are over the top, but every single FPS game and about 98% of video games glorify violence. Judging by this thread, not many have a clue what actually happened, which should be offensive to you in its own right. Not to mention, there's no game, book, movie, side scroller that can actually capture the horrors. Not even close.

October 8th would be a Saturday though. I'm not well-versed but I thought the release schedule for games was pretty set in stone (Tuesday in US, Friday in Europe).

If there's a number cutting off before the 8, it could be 18th, which would be a Tuesday in October.

I'll be so happy if he's a black guy, but I do wonder how they going to portray racial issues around the 1920s. I hope they don't go soft and explore the prejudice around that era. Then again, since it's alternate reality, I would not be surprised if they completely get rid of the racism in the 20s.

My guess: Game will release on 10.18.16. 18th in October is on a Tuesday, when games release usually. Battlefield 4 also released in October on a Tuesday.

I didn't do the date checks to see when that was. Although 18th October is a Tuesday as it looks like there might be another number and not a . before the 8, could also be 28th October as that's an 8, and CoD is releasing on a Friday again this year.

Maybe for campaign, but I don't know about multiplayer. It'd be kind of hard to fight when being revived after your limbs were blown off by a mortar.
