EA just said a new Star Wars Battlefront is coming next year.

Hardly surprising with the first game selling 14m to retailers but...

Nice! Issues aside, I really liked the first one. I'd love to see bot match "campaigns" and the traditional vehicle style return in the new one.

Expected since Ep VIII is coming out and a 2-year cycle is about right for this sort of game. Hopefully being able to build on the first game's framework will let them pack it with more stuff. It IS a decently-fun game at the core so I'll be interested if they can make it better.

No word yet but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it was a joint effort between DICE and Visceral
