Wow. You got that nice and early.
I'm curious as to how it is, because even though I don't post about it much, it is something I'm cautiously looking forward to.
The first Homefront -- although glitchy and mediocre -- had its moments, and I did enjoy myself through a lot of it. This one looked good when I saw early footage, so I'm hoping it will at least be decent fun.

I never played the original Homefront but I'm actually quite interested in this game. Has a major game ever been set in Philly? Looking forward to impressions.

Same, it's coming out this month?! It's kind of a packed month, it's sandwiched right between Uncharted 4 and Overwatch. I haven't heard it mentioned at all on any podcasts, and haven't seen any ads for it either. Bigger bomba than Homefront 1?

No it doesn't, It has a separate mode called "Resistance" which is a level based 4 player co-op.

There was no buzz around the original, it just had an absurdly expensive and overblown marketing campaign.

Not campaign coop. There is coop scenarios. Kinda like the Spec Ops stuff from Call of Duty, where you play missions designed for coop.

I don't think this game is gonna be great, unfortunately. About a 72 Metacritic I'll predict based on footage and critic impressions so far.
Didn't posted the impressions earlier as I Made the thread on mobile. Here are my early impressions after playing first 2 hours.
-The graphics are underwhelming. Its not bad technically but artistically it also looks bland.
-There are technical issues like screen tearing and fps drops. I am not sure if its fps drops or frame pacing issues but the game feels sluggish. Beside that the game crashed once and have other issues like items stucking in geometry etc. Please note that there maybe a day one patch. It wasn't up for me yet.
-Movement feels odd and shooting is not satisfying.
-AI is also not good.
-The world feels huge. You can see Farcry influences every where
-In the start the game does feel like guerilla warfare. You have limited resources and have weak weapons compared to enemy.

First one was nothing special and extremely short. I honestly can't believe someone fronted money for a sequel.

I didn't had much expectations. Its not very bad game but everything i very underwhelming. But i have just played it for 2 hours. And I played it after doom and overwatch beta.
there are some positives like oppressive atmosphere and feeling of fighting a guerilla warfare. Also for people who enjoy open worlds the world feels big.

Awhile ago Amazon had the super-deluxe edition (which came with an RC car) mistakenly priced at $12. (They cancelled the order)

I think there are three difficulty option not sure tough. Size I will have to check when i get back home.

Well that sounds thoroughly underwhelming, albeit not unexpected. They are insane releasing this the same month as Uncharted 4, Doom and Overwatch. This is going to bomb, badly.

First time I see a stream of him, his video reviews are good but this is really how he plays a game? he is barely following the story or pay attention to the game.
So all in all a pretty standard 7/10 title?
Does it try to do anything new/interesting or is it just another shooter that you have played 100 times before?
The impressions I got from trailers were that it felt like Just Cause meets infamous SS ( or any other open world game where you clear regions to unlock new powers) is that accurate?
