looking forward to getting some new DLC as this game is starting to feel a bit stale with me personaly now, I think it still needs a few tweeks here and there but looking forward to some new DLC, hopefully star cards to
 
I've been experiencing a strange bug the last few games. I randomly get awarded points for kill assists, sometimes a couple of them in quick succession, even though I'm sure I don't have any droids deployed or damaged another player for a while.

Outer Rim was March 22nd for season pass holders, so June 21st is a good guess I think.
The only downside to that is the fact that No Man's Sky releases in the same week :-(

June 21st is when No Man's Sky releases. Super interested in that game, but Bespin gets priority.

So I've spent about 40 hours with the game since I re-picked it up over the last couple weeks. Impressions:

-I really like Extraction, wish you could choose it on it's own without having to hope you don't get Droid Run or Heroes vs Villains in the Outer Rim playlist.

-Berserker HAS to be nerfed, it's just fucking dumb. It's probably the only thing in the game balance-wise that sticks out like a sore thumb as outright broken. I have some other nitpicks balance-wise but that's mostly just some gear being fairly useless and less things being OP or whatever.

-A lot/most of the Supremacy maps still seem fucked in that once one team takes the middle control point it's virtually impossible for the other team to take it back. Like, in two weeks of play I don't think I've seen it taken back a single time. On a similar note, some of the smaller objective modes that have Heroes (Extraction specifically comes to mind, maybe it's the only one actually?) have serious balance issues where you have shit like the rebels moving the extraction cart get a Hero at the very start while the imperials don't which means the imperials are totally fucked unless whoever is playing the Hero is a complete idiot.

-They really really really really really still need to implement team rebalancing after both teams have cycled through on a map. IIRC a recent patch note indicated they did this but they most certainly did not. I still see extremely lopsided teams almost every game, and I will stick in lobbies for a while and I just see the same 3-4 people with absurd 5+ K/D's on the same team constantly, and I don't see anyone else getting shuffled either. I mean yeah obviously if a party of people rolls into a lobby you can't do anything about that, but this happens so consistently that there's no way that's happening every time.

So in smaller gamemodes like 90% of the time (again in my experience at least) it's one team just steam rolling the other team over and over and over. I'll sometimes join a Blast lobby or whatever and just get matched up with some godlike random people and we'll stick together, not even in a party or anything, for 2+ hours and win every game by hilariously lopsided results. So now every time I join a 10v10 or smaller playlist and I see the other team has 4+ people with absurd K/D's I just immediately quit, not even worth it. In larger modes this is more tricky to gauge but it's still the same thing happening. I'm not saying this is an easy problem to solve and they need to just "fix it", but the overwhelming majority of my matches are complete shitshows one way or the other. Like right now I am in a Walker Assault match, and for science I have been in this same lobby for a good while, this is my 5th match. About 75% of the other team has remained static, and almost all of those 15 players have absurd K/D's (they have 9 players with over 20 kills and less than 5 deaths). I have been actively AFK since the first phase ended, we're halfway into the 3rd phase and I'm still in 2nd place on my team; partially because almost no one plays to the goddamn objective, and partially because the other team is ridiculously good/my team sucks. Obviously shit like this will happen, but this is literally the overwhelming majority of my matches. It's great when I'm on the other team, but sucks shit when I'm not.

I maintain a stead 1.05 K/D and climbing, and I very actively play the objective in objective modes so while I'm not great or anything that combined with the time I've put into the game now makes me feel like this is an actual problem now, and not just a me needing to get good situation. It's getting to the point now where even though I goddamn HATE people that don't play the objective in objective gametypes (K/D be damned) I'm probably just going to start playing for K/D in these modes because if no one else gives a shit or is totally incompetent why should I bother I guess? And again this is seriously my experience with the game almost every single time I get on, so while fucked up shit is gonna happen this is way too consistent and needs to be addressed.

Edit: So that match finally ended, their 15th place person outscored (point-wise) our 1st place person, and 18 of the 20 people on that team went positive, almost all of them hilariously so. Next game starts and it's a new map/cycle, game didn't shift a single person off their team and it's still 17 of the same 20 people on that team (I'm screenshotting at this point to verify), which is also about the same number of same players on that same team 6 games in a row now. We had ONE person on our team go positive, he was 1st place and he was outscored by 15th on the other team. This is pretty fucked honestly. I feel like when the game first came out if you stayed in a lobby long enough you would just eventually cycle through fresh players enough where this wasn't such a huge problem. This can't just be me, it happens every time I get on and I dabble in a solid 2/3rds of the playlists.

I pretty much only play Supremacy and typically run between 2.00 and 5.00 KDR while playing the objective. It's about taking the second to last point and running out the clock. Maxing out Scout let's me hold a point by myself fairly easily.

It must just be the randoms I get matched up with, but honestly 9 times out of 10 virtually no one ever comes with me to the middle capture point at the very start of the match so we lose it, and on most of the maps it seems very difficult to recapture the middle point if you've lost it, but once you have the middle one like you say it's usually fairly easy to capture the second to last one. I also run Scout since people seem to overly rely on radar making it easy to abuse, but I don't get level 3 consistently at all, I'm just not that good :/

That said you're clearly way way better than me with that K/D, I'm having a pretty goddamn good day if I'm going 2.0 or greater in any objective modes. I'm awful in any of the starfighters so I don't touch those, and I seem to have godawful luck finding Hero Tokens (I'm lucky to get one in a full night of play). The ONLY reason I brought up K/D was just to say that I feel like if I'm at least breaking even in playing the objective I feel like my complaints regarding team balance aren't total horseshit.

Speaking of which, I just got MVP in an Extraction match even though I only went 11-10 because literally no one on my team actually stopped the cart a single time. At one point it was moving, my team wiped out the 2-3 people that were on it, then every single one of them actively ran away while the cart was still active without stopping it. This is the hell I am in. I do really enjoy the game overall, but stuff like this is extremely frustrating.
 

Thats basicly the experience i have on Xbone.

Only issue i dont have is the K/D stuff. I still keep it very high every match. My buddy too that i often play with.
But both of us can do what we want, half of our team is always full of people that cant defend themselfs and go -20 or more.

its really getting annoying. Playing a ~20minutes match and still losing isnt really fun.

Havent played for a long while anymore on PS4, but its probably not much different there.

Take back anything I said about being good, fishing for Extraction matches working on this Dioxide Grenade kills contract (last one I have), did a bunch of games and I only wound up with 2 dioxide kills and I think my BEST game was 14-29. My performance is so inconsistent, at this point I don't even know :/. Really wish I knew if some of the people I was playing against were really hardcore or if I'm just terrible, game doesn't surface any of that stuff in any meaningful way.

That happens to me more times than there are grains of sand on the beach and stars in the sky.

Maybe if they'd put the capture points on Shoot Ineffectually Ridge business would pick up. That's where half the team always is anyway.

I don't know if it's just the bacta bomb or bacta + bodyguard or what, but I've found I'm able to survive a single lightsaber strike when bacta'd. One Luke sliced me, then turned around and I got to unload a clip in his back. A heh heh heh.

My last Extraction match on the outside Sullust (?) map my Partner was the Emperor who was apparently trying to figure out how to get outside the map while Nien and Leia were running around.

As an aside as far as I can tell in Extraction the Rebels seem to ALWAYS get a Hero immediately, then as soon as the first checkpoint is hit they get a second and the Imperials get their first? That seems to almost always be the case, but I've had games where I've never seen a hero token at all as the Imperials or ever have a hero spawn on our side.

I maybe need to spend more time looking around for tokens (I feel I do already though) or maybe looking up likely spawn locations for them or something. Had one of my Extraction games that was a complete rout where the Rebels had Nien and Leia up the whole time and we never had a Hero and I couldn't find the token either. Hm.

The Rebels start with the ability to get a Hero as soon as someone finds the token. After the first checkpoint is hit, a hero token spawns for each side, so you can have two heroes and one villain out. After the second checkpoint is hit, the Empire gets its second villain and Rebels don't get anything.

In probably 25+ games of Extraction I've never once seen a second Imperial Villain show up lol.

Just had yet another game where I am playing with a straight beastmode team (everyone is like 20/4 etc) as the Rebels, Imperials get Vader with the cart stopped in like a perfect position at the start of the last phase with I think 9:30 left on the clock and we just get straight stopped, never even touched it again. My partner was something like 35-1 going into that point and wound up going something like 42-35, it was fucking dumb as hell and I see it a bunch - Rebels steamroll the beginning with Heroes, then the Imperials deadstop them on the 3rd phase with the map layout + villain. The game in general is hardly a bastion of balance, but yeah. I really like Extraction on the two Jabba maps since the map layout is so clustered you can do more as both sides and just brute force push it forward with a concerted effort, but on the Sullust maps I feel like it almost always just ends somewhere in the 3rd phase like 90+% of the time.

I feel you, but that's kinda the point. The rebels are supposed to steamroll in the beginning, and the final villain is supposed to be like a boss fight.

I do think a non-hero version would be fun, but we can't even get regular Extraction as its own playlist so...

Yeah, I think the map layout on the two Sullust maps tilts it too far in the Imperial favor though. I think I've only seen the Rebels win once across both of those maps, whereas the Palace maps are still hard for the Rebels but I've seen them win for sure.

I finally got to dive back into the game today after my life took a very busy turn post-launch.

Checking those free map out for the first time and the visual quality of this game still astounds me.
 
Funny, I thought it'd because you were using one of the Turbo Lasers on that map.


You'd be surprised how much shit you can get away with in those things during certain matches.

It crazy how in the 2nd phase of WA, you can rack up the kills on the imperials and they hardly bother killing you.

I believe it is the Imperials turn. I do hope it is an officer skin as well.

Meanwhile I played a series of games in Walker Assault where there was one dude on the other team who managed to become a Hero/Villain twice every single game. Literally every single game dude was like 60-70+ kills with 5 or less deaths. Meanwhile my team was always incompetent, and despite doing nothing but mostly trying to get dioxide grenade kills while still playing the objective I was getting first or second place on my team every time even though my K/D was like 8-24 every game because most of my team every game didn't even look like they were trying to do uplinks; one game every single person but me ran completely past the starting uplink as the rebels.

Our team is always working towards bringing more FREE content to the game for our players to enjoy. That being said, this specific emote an item our team felt everyone should have a chance to secure. Sure it's not a new skin or Hutt Contract, but we have those types of things coming. As for announcements and news / more content...
