Monster Hunter Stories launches October 8 in Japan (+ Amiibo support)

Monster Hunter Stories will launch for 3DS in Japan on October 8, Capcom announced. It will cost 5,800 yen at retail and 5,546 yen via download.

Capcom will also release three Monster Hunter Stories Amiibo figures that will let you obtain special Otomon (monsters) in game. The Amiibos include: “One-Eyed Rathalos and Rider (Female)” and “One-Eyed Rathalos and Rider (Male)” for 1,800 yen each, and “Nabiru” for 1,200 yen. Capcom will release a second set of Amiibos this winter.

Amazing cover art. Hopefully this reaches our shores before we're in the midst of NX launch mania - unless they're putting out an HD version for that.

Wow I think this is going to do pretty well for itself. It might even show how badly mishandled DQM Joker 3 was by Square Enix.

so far only gen 1-3. the newly confirmed monster to be in this game still doesn't include gen 4

This is my most anticipated game in this moment. Amiibo res is ice on the cake and I hope this will somehow easy the localization process

Kind of, but they are made for and based on a first-party game. These are third-party characters for a third-party game.

I guess Gold Mega Man is pretty gray, since it is a recolour of SSB Mega Man, but was bundled with a Mega Man game - does it actually worth with SSB?

I'm confident it's the same chip. Welp. Maybe check Nintendo's compatibility chart?
