I hadn't pondered SMT on console, man that would be amazing! Also seems extremely plausible with Japan finding success in the console space again (and PC). Seems like more of a TGS announcement though.

I'm going to list down some of the talent internally & externally that are working on something unannounced for Sony that doesn't seem like they're far away. If I missed something lemme know.

Internal
- North West (VR)
- Pixelopus (small-team project)
- Sucker Punch (3rd person open-world)
- Santa Monica ( God of War )
- Bend ( Dead Don't Ride)
- San Diego ( MLB 17 )

External
- Secret Sorcery (VR) <- confirmed to be revealed at E3
- Impulse Gear ( VR )
- ovosonico

What I wouldn't do for a NG4. But it doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon.

It's unfortunate what happened with that series. It was all downhill after the first one (or Black).
Even a shit NG game controls and feels great to play. My favourite is 2 despite it having boring level design and utter bullshit explosion spam - 1 just can't match how satisfying the sequel is to play. I hope we see it next year after the release of Ni Oh.

As for SMTV I think it's clear one of the reasons they're putting so much into P5 is because they want to have everything available for their future projects. Hopefully SMT on console isn't as much of a dream as it seems.

DMC5 - I just can't wait to see what Itsuno decides to do with the series after such a long hiatus. It's well overdue and there have been many action games since 4, which is still ahead of the curve in many ways. The only issue will be how hamstrung he is by Capcom being the beggar publisher at the moment.

Maybe Firesprite (external)? It would be a small team project, last PS4 release was Playroom at launch.

It'll be interesting to see what Pixelopus brings to the table as their first title was mediocre at best and the only reason I even remember it exists is because it was developed by a first-party studio.

I definitely enjoyed NG2 even if I consider it a step down from NG:B. It was really 3 where it lost me.

As for your comments on SMTV and DMC5, completley agreed. SMTV especially would be a fantastic tsurpris on PS4.

"I'm getting sort of an indie title going - it's not really indie because it'll be fully funded. But it'll be nice to be on a project where I know the name of everybody on it, as opposed to one of these largest triple-A titles that staffs hundreds. It's a very different experience. Also you get to try more concept-based work because it's smaller. That should be very exciting." - Mark Cerny (June 2014)

I only played 3 about a year ago and after hearing how awful it was I enjoyed it, apart from the final encounter and the T Rex.

That said, I usually don't play higher difficulties in NG games. I'm not good at them and I really dislike how they just add enemies to boss fights to make them harder (the other ways they increase the difficulty are great though). It's so much worse than DMCs Devil Trigger in DMD mode.

SMT IV was pretty disappointing to me just because actual location and dungeon size/complexity took a huge hit going from console to handheld. It's not about the power of the hardware (because the games looks great) but the type of game it is (handheld games tend to be playable in small sessions). A true SMTV would be amazing. Even better if Kaneko and Meguro did everything for it, because Nocturne/Lucifers Call is one of the best games eve. I guess it didn't help that I waited over a year for it in Europe.

You know, Shawn Layden has gone from very much having a marketing mans demeanor to being the sign of the great things.....

The Last Guardian
FFVII Remake

....and soon a Crash announcement!

I also hoping for DMC5 at this E3 .
Man capcom has been a mess this gen .
We should have already have one .

Yea it sucks, complete reversal from last-gen.

By this time in the gen for last-gen they already released SFIV, DMC4, and RE5.

But since they are remaking RE2 I don't mind that much, they are forgiven ^^

Yeah that's true. I expect him to be the one to introduce Crash.

Shawn walks on stage " I have something here that'll make PlayStation fans go bananas, lights go out, all u hear is the screech of a monkey, Spike comes flying across the screen with net in hand. The camera pans out its revealed he's chasing a monkey. He shoots his slingshot..Crap he misses. The Ape taunts him and speeds up. Spike activates his Dash hoop to get to the ape and capture him, he smiles at the camera. Ape Escape..4! 2017 pops on the screen. Shawn layden goes "I told you you'd go bananas"

I'd be happy with either Ape Escape or Crash... both so good.

If I could have both I'd even pick that lol.

COD IW really just reminds me of a Killzone Shadowfall themed COD.

Like it looks so similar in so many ways lol. I like Shadowfall ^^

How the hell do you guys make those damn good gifs?

Photoshop has some decent animation tools built in. For more complicated video edits After Effects.

If you are a light user and want to do it for free give a program like Krita at try (somewhat similar to Photoshop with animation support). If you do use Krita you'll need to export the animation as an image sequence (myanimation_0001.png, myanimation_0002.png). From there you just use a program that can combine image sequences. I like ImageMagick (free) for that stuff, it also works well for shrinking gifs to get the file size down a bit. Keep in mind that you should Save often, big animations/gifs can cause the program to crash...and you don't want to have to start over.

Another free alternative is GIMP, but I personally didn't like it when I tried it a while back. Photoshop (requires a monthly fee, education edition is cheaper) or Krita (completely free) would by my choices.

If you don't want to see a lot of CoD then you can hope that they do a shortened demo at the conference and then put the full one online. I believe they did that at MS conferences where they'll get to a point and "skip ahead for the sake of time". It'll still probably end up being a 5-10 minute section.

If Crash gets announced no one complain about CoD or Destiny. Without the Activision partnership it would never exist.
