As long as it's just the IR blaster and mic, I could live with that.

Honestly though, I think the controller revision is going to be a mic and the Scorpio would get the Kinect port anyway.

I suspect that only the Premium model will support Kinect at all, the base model appears to be missing the chip that allows "Xbox On"

That would be perfect, strip out the motion control element, the tech is just too immature to be useful and enjoyable.

Honestly I think they are going to (eventually) have a Cortana box (like Amazon Echo but with a Kinect camera) that wirelessly connects to your xbox. Well, at least I think that would be cool. I would see that being apart of their spring 2017 event.

Sadly they started removing IR from the new Xbox One controllers which is stripping that added functionality. D:

No it didn't - not what I'm referring to, anyway. I'm talking about automatic logging in, automatic wake from screensaver, Skype...

Well technically it did.

Since they removed IR from the controllers you can no longer wirelessly sync the new controllers(including the Elite controller) and the Kinect also can't keep track of the controller so it can put it into standby mode to save battery life.

A mic on the remote i have been predicting for awhile now. Once i saw how well the Amazon Fire TV remote mic worked, and given the lack of success of the Kinect was, it was inevitable. Kinect is really rad and i use quite often. I use to use the gesture controls as well, but that was scrapped with the new UI. Shame

Also, why the hell am i not on the hype train!

While those are nice touches, there are working alternatives to auto sign in etc. Gamers simply dont want these features. Now voice commands on the other hand have been awesome for me.

Yup. Cortana and the entire idea behind kinect motion makes a whole lot more sense for a media focussed device.

Apparently Sunset Overdrive might be coming to PC, holy shit this means a sequel might be made.
Omg omg what if they announce SO PC and tease SO2?!?

Finally starting to get a bit hyped for this now that we're a little over a week out. I'm not even sure what to expect outside of what they've already shown/announced. I'm excited to see what Phil and the team have up their sleeve.

As with every year though, I'll remain hopeful about seeing a new Banjo and MS working with Sakaguchi again. Those will forever be my pipe dreams.

Even if it doesn't mean a sequel is coming, seeing this makes me realize how positive simultaneous Xbox platform/PC releases will be for the games, developers, and new IP's that are published by MS. It opens up a huge new audience and simply makes it more viable for MS (and developers) to invest in games on the Xbox ecosystem.

Of course, this requires MS to put a lot of work into making UWP and the Win10 store a more viable platform than it is now, (and to ensure that games that launch on PC do so properly... looking at you Quantum Break) but I think the future is promising.

Do think microsoft will announce another Halo spin-off for next year since Halo 6 probably won't come out until 2018? Man, I would love another ODST game, one that focuses on co-op and PvE.

I mentioned in another thread my prediction is that there is an Fireteam Osiris spin-off game announced

I would rather they invest the resources outside of the Halo franchise. Make a Mech Assault or even a Conker.

Not disagreeing with you just giving my prediction based on the emphasis of Osiris in Halo 5 in addition to the tease of a Non-Halo Wars 2 announcement at E3

I heard rumours that there will be a Halo Collection for XB1 announced and it will be called Masterchief Collection.

Edit: wrong year

Ugh, I'd really prefer them not to focus on Osiris. I just couldn't relate to any of the characters, apart from Buck none of them had any real personality to make them likeable especially Locke. Damn that guy was dry.

Bring back Blue Team!

Osiris was practically a fountain of personality compared to Blue, though.

Scorpio will launch with Halo 6, Forza 7, Dead Rising 4, Sunset Overdrive 2 and new Banjo.

You guys are going to get a new Battletoads instead.

Nah, dude. It's totally going to launch with Banjo-threeie, PGR5, Fable IV, Lost Odyssey 2 and a Halo RPG.

A Halo RPG could work so well. As long as it's not cartoony like those Ensemble concepts. Not sure whether we're past the point where one is financially viable, though.
