I know everything about the "Crash revival" rumour, hence why I've bought into it. It's still not on the level of job listings, resumes, leaked promos and trusted sources.

Put it this way, there's no GAFfers (at least, people known predominantly though GAF) quoted in the OP. Just trying to explain why I feel that's not some hot-shit "is 99% happening at E3"-tier rumour that belongs in the OP
personally I'm trying to expect it DOESN'T get announced at E3. I reckon it's happening but the timing could be anywhere between now and PSX

The only things on that list to excite me are GoW 4 and Wolfenstein 2.
Hope Sucker Punch are making a new inFamous and not a Spider-Man game. There's enough Mahvuhl garbage as is.

Nirolak, under Devolver you might want to put the all-but-confirmed Serious Sam 4 unveiling.
MS will have an easier time, if the rumors are true. It will be easier to paint the new improved Xbox in a positive light when you have a series of other low cost stuff like the streaming stick and Apple TV-esque box. There will be a lot of talk about cultivating an Xbox ecosystem, so consumers will buy into the notion that the Scorpio is a total luxury item.
As for selling the Neo to the 40 million people who have already bought a PS4, all I have to say to Sony is 'good luck'

- Mass Effect Andromeda
- PvZ : GW2
- Unravel
- South Park : The Fractured but Whole
- For Honor
- Wildlands
- Horizon : Zero Dawn
- Hitman
- FF7 Remake
- Dreams ( yeah, this is probably even more niche than TLG and Shenmue, but it's still a big announcement for a different audience)
And that's not including the few "niche with highly vocal fanbase announcements" like Nier, TLG and Shenmue.

Not really, unless They finished the game a WHILE ago. Monster games are releasing a Nascar game this fall on PS4 and Xbone.

Mark Cerny is working on an "indie-scale" game.
From prior hints of how Japan Studio works, Knack Team is presumably reshuffled to working on TLG and Gravity Rush 2. Hard to see how they could fit in another game of a respectable scale.
What about Sonic twitter hinting a new game? There have been rumors since sonic boom launch that Sonic Team was working in a 3D Sonic multiplatform. Hopefully Adventure 3 with a "mature" scrip and no that childish tone the game has since Unleashed (Worst scenario Generation 2 please).
They posted an image were they were basically confirming a new game in development. Since it's 25 anniversary E3 could be a good place to reveal the game.
Besides this and a Bayonetta 3 announcement that won't happend, my excitement goes towards new ip and things already announced. Maybe I could put RDR2/RD3.
I honestly hope we have more surprises like Horizon Zero Dawn.
But I'm not sure if we will. MS and Specially Sony have many games already announce with not that much info. Also 3rd parties do.

We'll get more surprises, even if they're just bloody CGi trailers and it's 3+ years away.
A large part of E3 press conference is showmanship, pubs are almost "expected" to announce new games and have surprises if they're going to be hosting a conference, just because everyone else definitely will.

Highly unlikely. They're still working on the official arcade release of Fated Retribution.
My heart wants to believe that it's SoulCalibur, but my mind tells me to never get excited about the possibility of Namco announcing something that I'd be even remotely interested in.
Yeah I think SC is gonna be dead for a good while tbh. I don't see another one of those being announced until after the console version of T7 is out. At the very least.

This can't be serious. The Adventure games are shite and no Sonic games should ever have anything resembling "mature" plots, unless you thought Shadow the Hedgehog was a fine game with a fine plot. Generations and the day levels of Unleashed are among the few good things to come out of Sonic after S3&K.
It just sucks. This has been the longest gap between main releases that the series has ever seen. Lost Swords was tripe and a bad way to remember the series. They were teasing and teasing for a long time, but nothing has been said since Lost Swords ended.
I do have a faint hope that this could be the year, but if nothing comes of E3 then I'm considering SoulCalibur dead pending further notice. The series has been gone for too long and the last releases fell flat with the general public. They need a big venue and an impressive announcement if they want any sort of success with the series. Tig ol bitties alone won't set the world on fire. There's a reason Mortal Kombat is on top of fighting game sales right now, and that's one part legacy and three parts showmanship. If SCV's story mode schlock is really the best they can do by way of showmanship, then the series doesn't really have much of a chance. Maybe they can hook in long term fans and folks who need 3D waifu fighters, but it isn't enough to float the whole game.
At this point since the series is struggling to live they need to do a reboot and rename it "Soul Calibur". Even though it started with Soul Edge, they just need to go with Calibur since that's what people mostly know it for. Update the graphics, make the fighting engine tight, bring the story back around, just do the whole MK9 thing and see how it works out. They can combine the stories of 1 and 2 into one and do a huge revival for the series. Tekken doesn't need that since it's going on strong but this series? Yeah they need one of these.
They just need to do something. It's sad to see a legendary series get in one of these binds.
Yeah, definitely. Play up nostalgia. The story in V was really really bad, so I think a lot of folks would be open to the idea of a timeline reboot.
Since when you hold universal truth? You have the right to have that opinion, but at their time Adventure games were high scored and it's something you can deny. They aged bad but again, they're games that came out at the end of the 90s early 00s
Imo Unleashed it's not even better than Lost World with those lame flat stages, but hey! it's the fastest Sonic to date!!!
If I put "mature" this way it's with some sort of intention. By "mature" I mean a plot were Sonic ain't doing childish puns every 4 seconds and Tails doesn't seem some Sesame Street character. Not even mention Eggman...
SA2 has the best plot in the series (with many writing/dubbed flaws due the time it was done but still). That's what I mean by "mature".
I think a smart plot is maybe a better word for what you want. When you put mature + normally lighthearted video game series, most folks are going to think "edgy" and "bad, very very bad".

if the spiderman game is real, i hope that it has in game costumes (that are earned in game, cause theres no way in hell I'm spending money on costumes) of other spiderman designs, specifically spider-gwen. its my favorite spidey costume.

i wish they didn't take so damn long making their games. So far they're 2/3 for me when it comes to their games. Battleblock Theater is a real stinker imo, hopefully game 4 is better.
