Would DMC5 directed by Itsuno but developed by Ninja Theory satisfy gaf?

No.

At that point why even involve Ninja Theory? Itsuno has a team and they have made fucking amazing action games that are with out equal in terms of combat depth.

Hell why would Ninja Theory even want to do that? They have plans of their own and their own employes, why would they want an outside come in and be a day to day director?

That would be terrible. I'd rather get DmC 2 directed by Rahni Tucker than that monstrosity.

EDIT: Not saying that DmC 2 by her would be bad, btw, I'm sure it would be an amazing game, just saying that if we're involving Ninja Theory, might as well let them do their thing.

You played a game with gameplay designed for 30 fps at 60fps.
Congrats have a cookie.

See this is why I don't bother with DmC fans. You don't have standards for combat. What DMC, Ninja Gaiden, and Bayonetta fans expect from their games is combat that raises the standard. Good is not good enough, we expect great. You just want a game to play once and move on to the next. We want something with fighting game depth that we can analyze, learn, and play for months or years.

Sorry, this is the biggest load of horse shit. I've been with this series since the beginning, played DMC1 freshman year in high school and have stuck with it since today. I'm a big action fan, I love Capcom, love Platinum, and a number of western efforts, but I can honestly say that DmC from Ninja Theory was one of the better entries in the DMC franchise -- which again, has not been the perfect series of games.

Also, you CAN make a fun and exciting action game with depth at 30FPS (God of War series and Vanquish as the stand out examples). The worst thing about the whole 30fps/60fps meme is that people who often bring it up don't even know what it's about. 30FPS action CAN be just as engaging and deep as 60FPS games, and also 60FPS games are not inherently better than others -- which you can see from Platinum's more recent efforts.

Honestly, it's close-minded and bitter fans such as yourself that make it hard for people to take fans of DMC seriously.

Aw, c'mon...no! I just went and found the Geryon Wagon pic after searching through the OT for it...!

Back into the depths it goes. :(

It's really really unusual. The 2013 thing is a dead giveaway that something's wrong. At the same time, I don't think this guy is credited for DmC.

Could he have auditioned for DmC Dante, not gotten the role, then never updated his online portfolio? I mean, that seems really unlikely.

Why did this thread had to happen the week before E3?

If it was any other time in the year, I wouldn't have been as heartbroken

;(

lmfao

I played DmC when it first came out on PC in 2013 and I was playing the DE on PS4 just yesterday. Get off your high fucking horse.

A lot of people seem to miss that those who prefer DmC2 rarely ever go "the combat was better". It's usually just a stylistic & story choice. I don't think I've ever seen anyone go DmC gameplay could offer the craziness Dante in DMC4 does for example.

This is certainly true.

Granted I argue against DmC2 because to me DMC is mostly about Comabt, but while I don't think the stuff is as good as Uncle Dante, I can see why DmC fans would maybe prefer the world (it's design is certainly better, even if I found it uglier.)

Don't know why people are freaking out about the 2013 thing, game probably just went through a revision.

2013 was the same year that DmC was released. Itsuno has basically gone on record saying that DmC's sales influenced the future of the series. They wouldn't have already cast actors for the game back then.
