Nintendo are usually honest with their screenshots. Painfully honest at times! I remember Mario Kart 8 looking questionable in screenshots, but it looks great in motion. I think this looks better in motion as well.

Well some of the textures are just terrible, there is no way to make that particular mountain look good even in motion. A bunch of the game is downright beautiful though, the grass and flowers all around it. I do not like the snow areas it looks bland, but when it is snowing it looks great

I dunno, that seems pretty much how it looked when looking at things at a distance. Unlike something like XCX, they hid the LOD changes and pop in up close but didn't seem try to hide how low quality stuff in the distance looks.

The game looks amazing, but I'm bummed this is 720p. It's gonna look SO blurry on my TV.

This game is strange to me. Some aspects look great, like structures, animations, and elemental effects, but I think the character detail and some textures are just pretty terrible, IQ-wise. Link looks blurry, and sort of like different parts of him are melting into each other. Aliasing seems pretty rough as well.

Honestly, I'd going to keep my expectations low for the visual differences between Wii U and NX.

I'm expecting it to run at 1080p native on NX, after seeing all the downplaying of the Gamepad-esque elements. Hell, gyro's not even required since you can use the Pro Controller (I assume the NX controller will have Gyro).

I'm most likely getting it on the NX either way. The game is absolutely gorgeous

I'm not disappointed because I kept my expectations in check. It looks about as good as I'd hoped considering the hardware.

Those hoping the NX will make it "current gen" better figure out what they mean by that. I really don't think it's likely the NX version is going to have dramatically different assets. Maybe slightly higher or uncompressed textures. I'd expect native 1080p, maybe, and much cleaner IQ.
