That's probably the Glider tuto quest, because in the Tree house stream they loaded save that already had most of the tutorials items.

This new Zelda still looks a lot like Skyward Sword to me just with more vegetation. I think Witcher 3 satisfied all my craving for a next gen role playing action adventure. I'd be very surprised if this turns out to be as good the Witcher 3 or Xenoblade Wii U.

Clearly...

No, I heard them say a fishing rod is confirmed, as well as the mentioned bombs and spear fishing.

Edit; in the hunting and gathering part of the Treehouse yesterday.

Ah my bad! Good to know, thanks!

Hey Gaf do you think the game will be (later on) based somehow on Time travel or time related ability/functionality ?

I mean we saw the rusty mastersword, the ruins of Hyrule and so on, maybe we will travel back to the past or with a time based ability try to rejuvenate parts of the world ?
And the guardian we saw Link fighting in the field seemed not rusty and decayed as the other ones found all around the plateau, maybe this was somehow in the past ?

I don't know, maybe that's just me, trying to save Hyrule and not letting be ruined by Ganon !

They also talked about how towns/villages are very tied into the story, so I think that's a good possibility. Maybe bringing parts of the world back from the past will set up towns in those areas? Maybe you'll just be able to travel to the past to interact with those towns, but be unable to save them from destruction (actually a little similar to DQ7, though you can save most of those towns)? That would be really cool.

I saw a post on Reddit talk about shield surfing onto a bomb explosion like from the Zelda cartoon. If anyone reading this is gonna be at E3 today can you try that? With all of the attention and care they're giving the mechanics in this game I would bet that it's possible to do, and probably incredible and hilarious!

Did anyone try using Stasis on a boulder, beating it to heck, and then climbing on top of it before it releases? Quick travel? Haha.

Watching the clouds move back and forth like that is pretty jarring, but it's great that you can use wind direction as part of the environmental puzzles. On top of that, the vegetation all matches the same wind direction. Fantastic.

I'm a little concerned about the enemy population. I understand this is 1% of the map, but it got pretty boring watching a handful of moblins everywhere with pairs of ice chus. What I love about open-world games is the sense that it's occupied and lived-in. Like you're interacting with different factions and have various choices and consequences resulting from those relationships.

Granted, this is coming off as a true sandbox kind of game where the environment itself both flexible and a active tool set but I want to feel more involved than just experimenting with different physical mechanics.

This is what happens when you give one of the most talented studios in the industry 6 years to work on one game with a blank check budget.

Fucking extraordinary how much creativity is in one game and we've only seen a very small fraction of it. Personally, I think this one is actually worth the wait. They really are making something unique and special.

I am probably going to pick up an NX now because of this game. I just wish I knew more about what it was. I will be watching the sales this fall, and may just pick up a cheap Wii U if available. There are so many games I'm wanting to play, and I am getting sick of the power race...

Most of what I play these days is older RPG's on my phone, laptop, and PS4 games from time to time. I miss the magic of Nintendo games like Zelda

My game of the show, along with Insomniac Spider-Man

Enduin

No bald cap? Lies!
now i also need a wii u (or nx).
i cant afford all this lol

i want a xbox one s, scorpio (upgrade on what i have)
ps4k (for spiderman)
nintendo for zelda

For those worried about shrine puzzle variety, I'm almost 100% convinced that every shrine was designed by a different game developer, so puzzle variety should be much more visible than we're used to in Zelda games.

I say this because the shrine names are almost definitely anagrams of the game developers' names (the first one is clearly Aonuma) and because the monks at the end clearly say that the shrine is a trial "I created" which really seems like a fairly meta phrasing.

Whoa, that's very plausible and awesome if true!

Yes I think it could be pretty cool ! And I also want to recover the Mastersword before it's all rusty.

Didn't think of that, good guess.

That makes too much sense and would ve awesome if true.
We already know the name of 4 shrines, if anyone is good at anagrams please try

That might be true because it seems they trolled people who could be able to decipher the alphabet.

I made a mistake on this one:

Oh snap. What were the other names? Was there a Tiya Momo?

Yeah, I think there's a reason that shadow thing is called Calamity Ganon and not just Ganon or Ganondorf, and that might be it.

Regretful, old man Ganon who had a creation of his go out of control and is now helping the hero? That would be great. Especially if it's WW Ganon (wait, isn't there only one Ganon per timeline as opposed to the multiple Links and Zeldas anyway?) who was already remorseful towards the end of that game.

Woah. You may have stumbled upon something cool.

In the Polygon discussion, the guy who played the demo said he chopped down a tree at the top of a mountain, stood on top of it and rolled it the entire way down while managing to stay on the whole time.

This game...

So in the years since they first announced this game, I've always come back to a rumor reported in 2012 about the dungeons. It sounded way too good to be true and typical game PR hyperbole. But honestly, seeing BotW in action makes me believe it's actually possible. The origin of the rumor is Wii U Daily which is banned, so I'll post another site sourcing them but quote Wii U Daily. Here's the rumor:

Also interesting tidbit given how everyone keeps talking about the ragdolling being similar to DS:

https://www.vg247.com/2012/09/05/zelda-wii-u-release-in-2014-gameplay-details-leaked-report/

Ever since I first heard this, I was dreaming this would be what it actually was like, but I never thought it would happen. But man, I could honestly see it being the case. The forest temple just being a massive forest? Sounds amazing.

I still think this "rumour" just had a few lucky guesses.

That's very interesting. Time to tell GameXplain :p

Hoping a "Shrine of Ta Iwa" now...

Damn it, I want the gif of it now >_<
So that mean, we might really be able to jump on the bulder and being propel with it, lol

I refuse to consider Skyward Sword as un ugly game. No way José. I know the Wii's image quality isn't the best, but even blurred the game is a looker IMHO.

And then, you've got the game running on Dolphin in HD...

sorry for the image barrage tho :p

Skyword Sword in HD...lordy that would be amazing.

I swear that some of the things I'm seeing in this game remind me of post 217. And I'm just giddy over it.

I was just looking at the pre order page on e3.nintendo and found this in the features list :

"Some clothing even has special effects that, for example, can make you faster and stealthier. "

Don't know if they bring that yesterday but I think it's cool even if not that surprising.
