You mean they said one thing and did another? youdontsay.jpg. They totally haven't done that before. You'd think they could at least pretend to give a shit for a whole week before going back to their usual shenanigans, but even that was too much for them.

I've seen a few people claim that Pulse was not an LGBT nightclub. Where are they getting that talking point? It's so fucking weird. "They weren't gay! They were Latino! Please vote for us...
please!
"

They don't want to send even false prayers to LGBT people, and I think some would get violent even realizing that's where their prayers are going to

Wow, I wondered how the Republicans would reconcile this mass shooting being at a gay nightclub and apparently the answer is to deny it was a gay nightclub at all.

That's funny, because the website directly contradicted this.

Hm, I wonder who to believe.

These fuckers and the people that support them and vote them in have blood on their hands for incidents like Orlando. You can't push agendas that dehumanize and demonize a group of people and then pretend to care when someone lashes out and treats that group as less than human. Fuck them all.

What does this statement mean? Are Latinos a separate entity from the LGBT community?

Yup. Only white women and LGBT get to be women and LGBT. Latinos and blacks are Latino and black and gender, sexuality, religion, etc don't matter. (Blacks can't be evangelical either).

Please do not let me serve on a jury. I am actually a crazy person.
I'm trying to wrap my head around Latino and LGBT being exclusive.
Is it because for a GOP senator, a Latino LGBT is the devil? I don't know. What the hell.

Seriously, these people come off as comically evil and two faced pretty much every time they open their mouths

How is it that they have so much support from people?!

How come the US allowed those idiots control the house and senate? It really baffles me.
The country is still very religious/socially conservative, though that is slowly eroding and policy is becoming more progressive because of it. It just takes a lot of time. Yes we have a lot of work to do, but make no mistake, minority rights and protections have improved every generation.

Because from their perspective the Democrats are the real evil ones. That and people are fucking dumb.

Until more progressives get into the gerrymandered "red" voting districts, this will never change.

And even then, the GoP will redraw the district lines again to adjust.

You literally have to FLUSH out the GoP to get progress in this country. But there are too many anti-Gay conservatives to stop them.

In fact, if anything, people like Trump have helped them double-down on their anti-Gay stances. Because now they aren't even afraid of looking like bigots on the national stage. They embrace it openly.

This. So much.

Hopefully the courts start to get more active in keeping districts sane. States that have the initiative process should also start to get more active in pushing measures that force districts to be drawn properly as well. That and voting reforms are the only thing that will make this country more sane.

Vote for mid-terms, people. Get everyone else to as well.

Not even angry anymore. Just... sad.

... Okay, I'm pretty angry too. Angry sad.

Because fucktards are allowed to vote, and politicians are allowed to manipulate voting districts and suppress certain voters who are likely to support the opposing party.

With this and the Brazilian news saying FBI wants the ex-wife to not mention he was a closet homosexual to seemingly pursue the radical Islam angle, this is a disgusting reaction from our government.

Minor issue, but Patrick Maloney isn't a Senator, he's a House Representative. The OP confused me for a moment.

I don't expect the House to be decent about LGBT.

Pretend? More like denying it was a LGBT community at all.

It would blow their minds to learn that they could hate these victims even more since they're both gay AND latino. Were any of them poor, as well? Might as well go for the hat trick.

Didn't realize being Latino set me up as my own sexual orientation.
Who knew.

I'm latino-curious.

I can help with that. Pulse wasn't itself in a poor part of town, but further down Orange Ave (and even nearby on Lucerne) there's a lot of lower income housing located very close to some dirty industry.

Sad part is, is there are probably some House Republicans that actually thought the GOP as a whole might shift themselves a tad more center. Especially in light of recent events.

These dudes are literally like cartoon villains now, they're not even trying to hide it anymore.

I'm half expecting Paul Ryan to open the next house session while stroking an exotic cat in his lap.

Reading this, I am even happier Anderson went after Pam Bondi the way he did.

No reporter should let public officials get away with this kind of hypocrisy and bigotry.

Meanwhile, Committee chairman Pete Sessions offered his "thoughts and prayers" in the wake of Orlando, only to mistakenly claim Tuesday that Pulse was not an LGBT space.

#thoughtsandprayers

Saw a great Tweet about that when politicians started offering them:

What's so convenient about #ThoughtsAndPrayers is it means you don't have to DO anything, including thinking or praying.

both parties are the same, right?

And this is why is too fucking important to ALWAYS VOTE. Midterms elections specially.

Anymore reason to vote every one of these pieces of shit out of office?

Their constituents want this. This is probably one of the things they say their representatives have accomplished - not giving in to the "gay agenda."

That's why it's important to remember this isn't just about right wing politicians. It's about the right wing and conservatives in general; the ones who vote these types of people in. These are proudly idiotic people pushing a worthless agenda and archaic worldview that does not belong in modern times.
