But it was a new save slot at the start of the stream. The save slot was empty when the playthrough started. Just because the playthrough started in 2015 doesnt mean it didnt start from a new save slot.

No way, something someone made a year ago aint new. That slot was old and nasty, it was older then the stuff at the back of my fridge

Kyle thrives on meta narrative. He is the Andy Kaufman of EZA as someone said earlier, doing whatever he can to make this group/channel more than just a bunch of dudes sitting in front of a camera and stating opinions about video games. This very same meta narrative is what made The Final Bosman so special; it was more than just a gaming show, but one that had it's own mythology and lore. He's keeping things interesting in what has become fairly run-of-the-mill, giving us a spectacle to go along with the podcasts and the Twitch streams.

Bosman knows his audience. We expect the "troll." We almost crave it. The moment the bet was made, we all said "How is Bosman gonna welch on this one?" and he's shown us how. He gave us what we came for. So who are we to cast aspersions when we are the ones so curious and eager to see this all play out? I mean, admit it: this is actually kinda fun, right? I know I'm enjoying it.

Guys. The backwards pizza. The horrible fashion sense. The miyamoto bashing.

It all makes sense.

Masterful troll from Kyle. I couldn't believe it when I saw it.

Someone mentioned that the best case scenario would be Kyle and Damiani streaming ALttP which would be great since Damiani can counter troll Kyle very well.

This is not my only argument, but I'll try to save the rest for the group stream.

omg Blood... bring all da bombs!!

oh how I wish I could see a proper show of EZA to trial bosman, it would be the most hilarious thing to watch

of course... butzman (kinda fitting hahaha)

also.. edgeworth... bloodworth... can't believe how fitting it is

twitch chat should be given the defending position.. because the are as trolling as kyle himself.. fitting position.

The Q&A is sweet (I am glad I am watching this right now instead of saving it for when I have a bit more time). It is jolly and reminds me on why I love this crew so much (without all stuff from the last few pages in this thread).

Not that I forgot, but it is a nice change of pace again.

Stream schedule is up. Vote Fatal Fury! Fighting games always deliver in group streams.

Also I want them to start adding more older games as stream choices.

Same, I thought that JoJo last week was the CPS3 one and I was pretty excited, but the new one looked pretty fun at least!

If the Carmageddon is like the last one, it's not going to be very good or interesting to watch. Hawken doesn't look visually very interesting and I haven't really heard anything about it before. Fatal Fury should provide some fun competition.

It was a pretty easy choice to make.

Anyway, probably the last thing I'll say about this before the council has been held: when I try to look at the Huber-Bosman contract as objectively as I can, it does seem to me that Bosman did fulfill all the requirements aside from the tweet, but I'm sure most of the EZA crew wants to force Bosman to play through aLttP himself regardless. I'm also eager to see if Blood has come up with no one in this thread has realized yet.

I voted Carmageddon because I like the series but yeah, thinking about it I could definitely see the game's dumb sense of humor not meshing well with theirs

Nah. It's a recording - It's a save slot that has already existed at one point in time. It states that it has to be "new".

Right but its vague and doesn't define what new is. By the definition he obeyed the rules because it was new on the stream.

In any case, he made a new file during part 1 of the stream so this is all moot anyway

But that isn't the file that got to the end credits. He has to "stream LIVE, a complete full playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, from a new save slot to the ending credits on Easy Allies' Twitch page in no more than 3 sessions."

One can argue that the 'new' file on the recorded video counts as new, but you can't really argue that just because he made a new file on the first day, that meets the criteria. It doesn't, the 'new' file has to be seen to the ending credits.

Yes. New is new. That is the file that needs to be completed - he already started on that file. One file was made, and the contract states "a new save slot". (I'm loving this).

It doesn't say that the complete play through cant take place across multiple save files though!

Say what you will this is the fastest I have seen this thread move not including E3, and it generated that awesome PW art.

Edit: All Huber had to do was phrase it like this " I, Kyle Bosman, must play Zelda: A Link to the Past from a new save file from start to finish over three uninterrupted Twitch Streams on the Official Easy Allies Twitch Channel. This play through must be complete (ie no glitches) and all controller input must be from my own hands for the duration." Then of course include the remainder of the terms. That would be pretty lock tight, and am actually surprised how open to interpretation Huber let the Contract be considering Bosman's known workarounds.

What if Huber was in on this the WHOLE TIME!?!?

Because Huber knows Kyle better then any of us do (except for the other allies coming to this thread and who are working with him for years).
Right, and since it was put into writing Kyle knew exactly what he was expected to do, which he did. You guys act like you'd have to add three more pages when you'd just have to add three more lines. It's not like there was a loophole for the standup stuff, there was for this.

Nah, I think Huber has a problem thinking about stuff like this because he really is too honest.

Also, if he was in on it, he complaining on his Grand Kingdom stream was very well acted:

The funny thing is that if they hadn't used a contract and just said, "You have to livestream a full playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past by July 8th, 2016." then Kyle probably wouldn't have weaseled out of it (though I'm still unconvinced he has actually weaseled out yet), and would have just done it with some minor trolling thrown in.

But with the addition of the specificity of the contract, it becomes a game to find the loopholes.

I would not be shocked if this were the case. Huber likes to pump up the volume, and what better way to do that than a betting controversy? He basically baited Bosman into doing this. It wouldn't have been hard at all to make the language in that contract ironclad.

He would have done something. People that think otherwise are too naive

If any of you haven't seen the guacamelee playthrough I highly advise it by the way, mainly the last 2 hours. 4 player co-op insanity with all of them slowly losing it, especially Ben.
