Just saw this in the other KOF thread and I thought it was a big deal:

"PARTY PLAY" feature which allows 2 teams of 3 players to fight each other.

Being able to play a fighting came online with a couple of buddies on my team seems like a lot of fun. Maybe a first for fighting games?

Not quite. Modes like this have been around since VF2 on Saturn at least.

and I believe SF4 also had team battles on netplay, it's just no one ever used it because it isn't nearly as exciting as it sounds lol

It might be more fun for KoF since the turnaround on matches will be alot quicker though.

I think this mode was only discussed in the KOF discussion thread back then and some people probably missed it, so having this thread isn't too bad.

nice feature to have but probably won't be that popular for the same reason large lobbies in king of the hill style aren't that popular. people don't like to wait to play.

Xuandou Zhiwang has this too, which is actually being updated this summer/fall after a 2 year hiatus. Although, there a chance that the entire userbase will be purged before the rumored open beta.

Will this game have crossplay with the PC version?

As of now, there is no word of the game getting released on other than the PS4.

Played many a 3v3 with my friends with me as the anchor as Balrog. Hearing people screaming and talking trash is godlike lol.

It's not really team play though. It's still one on one. If you can beat everyone on your opponents team you should have no complaints.

and it's probably not something they'll do matchmaking for lol. You'd mostly be teaming with, and probably against people you know in games you organized ahead of time I'd imagine

The game uses the "PS4 Console Exclusive" branding on it's box like Street Fighter V has, rather than "Only on Playstation 4". It's not confirmed, but I think they're leaving the possibility open.

They're not going to confirm that when the panel they had for the game today at EVO featured a guy from Sony dressed as one of their characters.
