They certainly have good taste. Those companies make great figures.

Toys before gameplay? Kojima is truly the Kanye West of gaming.

Trying to burn a franchise before the first game is even out?

Maybe I'm incorrect but aren't these just figures of their company logo? If so, nothing wrong with that. They look cool and it's probably 50% marketing and 50% just for fun. As I stated, GoodSmile and Max Factory make quality stuff. Much better than the quality of the typical collectors-edition collectibles. For MGSV, the mechanical hand was made by Sentinel who is another one of the top companies in the industry.

These look good! Hope to grab these when they release. I really liked the Kojima Productions box set they sell on their site, so the figures would go good alongside it.

I'm known for buying figures for stupid reasons, but buying a figure for a logo of a company that only has a concept trailer out currently seem... strange to say the least.

i find this kind of odd, especially when the game is like not even playable yet
but i gotta say, i do love me some figures

Oh yeah that's true, he did mention the emblem wouldn't be turned into a game. But I mean in general, if these make it to market before us seeing Death Stranding gameplay.

WHY?

i mean c'mon! they dont even have an engine, and they are selling merchandise.

i dont know if Kojima is Crazy or a Genius, probably both

Shinkawa made a generic concept so cool looking. I'm curious if the logo will ever be more than just the logo. Heard Norman reedus face matching the mascot but no concrete evidence yet.

Not sure why it matters if they release these before the game even has a gameplay reveal. It's just company merch, it's not harming anyone. And it's essentially just a figure of an original character. Believing in the future of the company or Kojima isn't a requirement to picking up a figure cause you dig its design.

Personally speaking, I think it's a cool design but have no interest in getting it. More power to those that do though.
