Prey, Dishonored 2, and Quake Champions screenshots

Dishonored 2 seems to have received a fair upgrade since the last batch, fixing most of the texture and sharpness issues.

These are the first screenshots for the other two.

Prey (CryEngine):

Didn't think we would see Qzake Champions gameplay that fast.

Looks very Unrealish though. I don't really like the look of the weapons, but I'll safe it for a gameplay video. And their take on classic maps...

Edit: Saw the gameplay Trailer - it has potential, but now I want to see a whole match. dm6 looks weird...

Rocket Launcher in Quake Champions looks better outside the first-person view, somehow. I didn't recognize it was basically the same gun from Quake 3 Arena when I saw it in the gameplay trailer.

Well... everything was the same as quake 3: railgun, lightning gun, plasma, gauntlet etc

So it s a confirmed reskin basically ?

I mean visually. Everything but the Rocket Launcher doesn't seem to resemble the weapons from previous Quake games.
Gauntlet looks awfully close. Not counting the models DooM, Visor... But I was talking about gameplay initially.

Some guy said Dishonored 2 barely looks any different from Dishonored max settings. That guy, i expect you to feel very silly about now.

Even so, i hope Arkane has basically modified IDTECH5 enotugh to mitigate its legacy issues, cause otherwise would be a problem...

Prey also looks very promising for a cryengine game, considering the hard times that engine has had.

Dishonored looks fantastic. Absurd how close they're getting, especially with character faces, to the look of their (concept) art. Combined with this truly unique combination of Riviera-inspired Karnaca and all the steampunk and fantasy elements a winning look and feel. If I'd have to nitpicka bout something, with all the little details going on in design and architecture, some low-res/low-detail elements stand out, such as the paintbrush/board and the mountains in the distance in the last shot. But going from Dishonored, the focus will probably be more on city life and interior then vistas.

I like that some news sites still report that you play as Tommy, haha.

Maybe you do.

Maybe this is all a simulation by the preylians.

Although in seriousness I think there's a tiny chance they could decide to throw the franchise a bone and tie it in somehow. With like an audio log or obscure reference or something. Nothing that actually has an impact on the plot.

I bet they do. Just not sure I am going to like it but that depends on the meaningfulness.
Prey is still one of my favourite shooter campaigns. Was never happy with the Prey 2 reveal back then, but would have preferred it a bunch over what we get now.

Game looks cool on it's own, but should be an original IP.

Three D1 titles for me.

Thank you Bethesda, awesome line-up.

The Quake screenshots don't look good but the gameplay immediately got. They seem to get the Quake III feeling just right.

how come Pray is using cry engine instead of idtec engine???

I though Bethesda was only using their own engine going forwards.

Fallout Shelter is on Unity, I think Elder Scrolls Legends is as well, Battlecry was also on CryEngine before it was canceled, and Tango's website implies that they might be using Unreal Engine 4 for their next title, though that's not guaranteed.

So do you know why they don't use id tech for all their titles? I mean maybe apart from mobile, it would seem like a sound choice and can be akin to EA with Frosbite, so that the engine is versatile for all developers, and thus they can share all their techniques, infos, debugs, etc. Does that not make sense or did they start development already on the engines you mentioned above?

Not sure if i'm crazy about the character models in Prey having a slightly stylized look like those in the Dishonored series.

I feel as though Cryengine can produce characters that damn near photo realistic when you look at previous games on that engine.
