I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by delaying your games over and over. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Final Fantasy XV for either system, nor will they purchase any of Square's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Square has alienated an entire market with this move.

Square, publicly apologize and reverse the delay for Final Fantasy XV, or you can kiss your business goodbye.

The Uncovered event was the most important thing about the game's marketing campaign and the September 30th release date wasn't the most important thing that they announced, it was the fact that people would get to play the game this year, at a certaind date. While I'm trying to say, the release date could have been July or October, but it wouldn't have mattered.

Imo it's really no different than UC4 being delayed and honestly I'd imagine 2 months is significant time to crush bugs and up performance.
