As stated in the Title, there is no registration info yet so this could be a fake registration. It was filed via FastTrack though.

Likely fake (the fonts don't match up, looks like the Fallout logo is copied from another source with the New Orleans pasted on after the fact) or made by Bethesda at the very least, but goddamn if Obsidian were to get another shot, I'd be there Day fucking ZERO.

Not really excited for the future of Fallout/Elder Scrolls. The Radiant system has really taken a turn for the worst and the town building thing feels kind of out of place.

If anyone could save it for me itd be obsidian though.

Yeah unless it's Obsidian developed I don't see myself getting excited about a new Fallout or Elder Scrolls unless they make major changes from Fallout 4.

If Obsidian is making it I sure hope it won't be as bug ridden as New Vegas. Really enjoyed the game but I must have had over 50 crashes/freezes and that completely ruined the experience for me.

EDIT:

Wait a minute...

Project Director and Lead Designer of New Vegas.

But this is quite old though?

I bought Fallout 4 in the summer sale and then refunded it 24 hours later because the game is a total technical disaster. Unless they have fixed the numerous basic issues with the game engine I won't be buying this.

hasn't someone from obsidian said they wanted to do a fallout new Orleans before..

Please god let it be real and let it be obsidian. I swear by the old gods and new I'll love Bethesda as if it were one of my own if they let this happen.

Likely a fake.

Obsidian expressed interest in sticking to the West Coast of America (and specifically LA) for a potential New Vegas sequel.

RPS said:
“Oh, we’d love to do Fallout: New Vegas 2,” he [Feargus Urquhart] enthused. “It would be awesome.” But how would that work? And is Bethesda on board with the idea? Here’s what Urquhart had to say.

“If I think of going from Fallout 1 to Fallout 2, we tried to associate the two areas somewhat closely,” he explained to RPS. “It wasn’t just ‘Oh, we’re gonna do this 2,000 miles from here.’ So I think if we were to do Fallout: New Vegas 2 – or just a new Fallout – we would probably separate it from what the internal team at Bethesda’s doing. We’d keep it on the West Coast, because we’re West Coast people. They’re East Coast, so it makes sense.”

“And we need an interesting confined area. So I mean, it could be LA. Fallout LA. That could be interesting. It’d probably be The Boneyard, which is from Fallout 1. It could be very different. It could be almost a Walking Dead meets Fallout-like thing because of all the radiation.”

Could it be from that other company who seem to constantly be trying to make a different range of Fallout games? I remember hearing recently-ish about a non-Bethesda company who have some kind of vague rights to the Fallout name announcing a Fallout themed MMO. I might be getting my news store mixed up though, I'll try and find a link.

Ah yeah here we go, the company that bought the Interplay name:

That would be whatever remains of Interplay. They held onto rights for a multiplayer-focused Fallout game (it was going to be an MMO), but last I checked they folded, even though they tried to say "oh no it's totally still happening" just to try and get any amount of excitement or investment into such a project.

It's pretty much dead.

Would love another Fallout from Obsidian, but I dunno. Sawyer seems like he would be busy with Pillars of Eternity 2.

Fits with the whole 'Announce and quick release' thing!

New Vegas did not take as long to develop as Fallout 3. The same thing would happen to a new Obsidian Fallout game. The groundwork was already laid out by Bethesda. Same thing applies to PoE2.
