Playism teasing some sort of Astro boy game? Suda 51, Akira Yamaoka, others credited

So, a writer for Active Gaming Media, which is PLAYISM's more active game development front, teased something recently. It appears like it might be related to Astro boy? At least the first image looks like him, and the "ministry" in the teaser could be the Ministry of Science. Can't say I recognize the other characters. Given the credited artists maybe it's a crossover style game?

Don't recognize all other names, but from a quick google at least two worked on .hack games in the past.

Definitely based on tezuka comics

however, there's connections between almost all of Tezukas works with one another

The Treasure made Astro Boy game was basically a celebration of every Tezuka work from his lifetime.

Would be really nice to see that for current gen games.

Treasure Astro Boy is still one of my favorite games ever, everything about it was amazing. Definitely will be keeping an eye on this and excited to see it.

Same here. I'd love to see the story of Omega Factor adopted to an anime just because of how great it is.

Agreed. I doubt any other Astro Boy game will come close to Omega Factor for the Game Boy Advance. Treasure really shined with that game. I wish that would at least come to the Wii U VC.

Rock isn't just in Metropolis, he's appears in many Tezuka works, and looks slightly different in each one depending on the style of the story he shows up in.

Right, I know that. It's just that the hair seemed pretty different even for Rock. It could just be the angle of the teaser combined with the fact that it's partially obscured tho as to why I don't see it.

Tezuka is one of my favs of all time, would love to have a new game based on his work! Everyone should read his stuff, especially the whole Phoenix series...a bit of a time investment but very worth it.

A sort of continuation of the original Astro Boy manga, It's like if Mega Man was set in the Blade Runner universe.

It's one of the most depressing and terrifying mangas I've read.

Sounds like a Tezuka Mash Up game with artist collaboration and is being developed by Grasshoper Manufacture and CyberConnect2.

So for artists, they have Hiroya Oku (creator/artist of Gantz), Suda51 (NMH, Killer7), Hiroshi Matsuyama (the CEO of CyberConnect Matsuyama?), NekoshowguN (freelancer with INCREDIBLE art), and Seiichiro Hosokawa (behind most of the post-.hack IMOQ art). I'm almost apprehensive to get too excited for this.

YO, what?! I cannot wait to see what this turns out to be. It was neat discovering Tezuka's other stuff through Astro Boy: Omega Factor (which is a shame it'll never get re-released thanks to licensing)
