Debating between PC and PS4 version. Anyone have any thoughts?

The console versions are for one uniform hardware platform. They either work or they don't.
It was $40 on CDkeys.com so I got that. Also I'm going to attempt to run it in 4K on my PC, though early performance reports are not encouraging on that so far.
If you have a PC that can run this game. No brainer. Get it on PC.

My friend preordered the collectors edition on amazon when it first became available. He has prime, and had prime when he ordered. For some reason his says he wont receive it until the 25th. Anyone else having that issue? Is this game not release date delivery guaranteed?

Depends, if you get it on PC you'll get the advantages that come with PC/Steam versions of games, but you'll also have to wait 12 hours after the console release to play it.

Somehow it just dawned on me that the release times picture is using 24 hour military times instead of 12 hour. Guess I'm waiting on the unlock on Steam.
Yes, it offers native support for 21:9 on PC and looks gorgeous!

I've seen videos of release PC gameplay and it looks fine, so I'm not terribly concerned. Nixxes always turns in good work.

I understand the skepticism, but if it were genuinely and irredeemably fucked, what difference would all-hands-on-deck really make? How much can you mitigate the brand damage of a truly broken game by being present?
This isn't necessarily rhetorical, I honestly don't know. It's just my train of thought. Maybe I'm too trusting.
PC footage so far don't seem to echo it that much.
While ultra 4xmsaa is tanking previous cards below 60 some tweaking of options should make it at least stable, I would think.

If the port was "fucked" this wouldn't help them at all.
I don't like having to wait any more than anyone else, but wanting to have your teams available for tech support if people have problems (unavoidable with PC releases.. given the massive number of possible configurations people can have).
There are going to be some people that have stuttering, some people who have crashes, others who have no problems. Having no one on hand to immediately respond to and listen to people on steam forums who are having issues certainly won't do them any favors.
Nixxes generally does solid work on their PC versions, I'm not worried at all about this port.

I go to Gamestop to pickup my preorder (shut up I had credit), and I get there at like 9:50 local time since it'll be given out at 10. There's MAYBE 10 dudes ahead of me, and they're all really bro. I go "hm, this doesn't look like a cyberpunk crowd..." and I totally forgot Madden is out tonight as well.
I was the only one there for Deus Ex. So glad I stayed home to watch one more episode of Stranger Things. I also got, like 5 preorder flag swag banners or whatever they were giving away. Yeah.... fun night.

Oh yeah, Ultra-Wide is awesome.
Better visuals, higher framerate, and KB/M controls are even more reasons to double dip.

So the Steelbook edition is useless.
At first I was like "awesome" because it came with 4 discs meaning it actually has game data and isn't just for nothing. But it actually gives you a generic steelbook that isn't for any particular platform in addition to the regular PC game case version that contains 4 dvds.
The problem - the Steelbook only holds one disc. So you have to store the other 3 in the regular case.

I bought the PS4 steelbook. It was the same price as the normal game. I guess they just send the same case for every version.

It's quite clearly the case because there is no platform related branding anywhere on the steelbook.

Right, the PC version has the outer cardboard slip, then inside it has a regular game case with 4 dvds inside it, then the steelbook which has no markings.
What is this steelbook you speak of? Just an AUS thing?

Don't know if its AUS only. But it was same price as the regular game.

PS4 owners should be aware about a glitch I encounter that could potentially be game breaking. While doing a story mission, you take an elevator to reach a passage to met a certain individual. Problem is, once you reach the floor, the whole passage is glitched and missing and crossing over will lead to death.
The only thing that fixed this problem was reloading an old save file from the PS+ cloud. None of my current save files worked and neither did uninstalling the game.

Well, on the bright side, 8-9 hours of the wait for a lot of us will be sleep time.
Swing and a miss at Best Buy. Stopped by on the way back from work, and everyone was there was pretty adamant they can only sell Madden for the midnight release. Not sure why they couldn't sell both when they quite clearly have them in stock for anyone coming in the morning, but it is what it is.
