Anyone else finding the lip syncing incredibly spotty?
Yeah I don't get it. With that DPI and sens I'd do like 10 360's with a slight wrist movement.
I had that in one area of the tutorial mission but never since then.
Yes.
Well, if a game has an in-game FXAA setting, it might e.g. run that on the samples before the final resolve. Even if not, MSAA2x misses some aliasing completely, so FXAA could still help with that (unlike the image after a good TAA implementation)
Yes! It's not just very distracting, it also prevents me from taking screenshots
After you complete the section at the bookstore, you should re-purchase the target marking aug. Doing that made the notification go away for me, at long last. It costs 1 or 2 praxis kits but goddamn, is it worth it. Relief!
Or just wait for a patch, but who knows how long it could take.
So what was the point of their strike team?
it's just one

FXAA is awfully blurry by design, get rid of that for sure. Their temporal solution beats it easily, but it only seems to work with sharpening on. When I turned that off for a moment it looked like I also took off my glasses
TAA is incomparably better at actually reducing all forms of aliasing compared to FXAA. And running FXAA on top of any final resolved image which already has AA is a bad idea.
At 1440p I find the level of sharpness provided by the TAA image pretty pleasant.
(The sharpening filter is completely unusable IMHO)
By the way, anyone else feeling the sound mixing is Wolfenstein levels bad?
I can't feel any positional cues from anywhere using CMSS-3D
Thanks for the info.Yes.

IMOl lip syncing is quite poor for AAA game. I wish they did a better job, it's distracting.
The girl's lip sync in the TV broadcast is laughably, distractingly bad.
Is there sli support? I thought they said there was for some reason. I'm running I7@4790@4.0 ghz@ 32gb ram@ 980ti sli. Running at high preset and can't get stable 60fps. Msaa off and chromatic abbreviation off. Any suggestions? Thought for sure I could run ultra with these specs. Anyone else have similar setup? Sorry to post same question twice as I'm still somewhat fairly new to PC gaming. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.
Sorry I meant to reply to this last night and forgot because I was busy playing the game.Guys anyone has a 7850?
I have a friend that loves HR and wants to play MD but i doubt it with that GPU.
Yes just thought someone had similar setup etc... Had some advice. I c many other people asking about there setups etc ... So thought it would be ok to ask as well. But thanksIt's almost as if she actually was an AI...
OP is your friend.
Positioning is fine but the levels are out of whack and lack punch.

Yeah it's all the prompts that are connected with tutorials (the ones you have to hold a button to activate). I've just been quick-saving and reloading after having seen the tutorial - Ignoring it the second time it pops up.
Pretty annoying.
She has a mean wink for an AI though. It's almost as if she actually was an AI...

Hmm, if the whole game runs like that, I'll be pretty satisfied. I easily notice drops to 55 or lower, but I think I can let it slide if it's not too often. I'm just worried the later parts of the game are significantly more demanding. Thanks for the impressions!Actualy, I just checked real quick. I get a benchmark of Average 42.8, max 55.8, lowest of 12.0 (which I never even noticed in the benchmark at all).
In-game, which many people here say is much better, is mostly a solid 60fps. Drops to 57fps here and there, and when a lot is going on went down to 51fps for a sec. Mostly stays right around 60 though. It runs pretty nice.
Someone said that buying the mark augment fixes it though that' obviously wastes some Praxis if you don't want it.Is there no workaround for it? I think I'd rather play with the lower hud enabled than to see a floating "hold T to unmark
OP gives you proper SLI compatibility bits which boosts performance by a lot. That's basically all you need.Yes just thought someone had similar setup etc... Had some advice. I c many other people asking about there setups etc ... So thought it would be ok to ask as well. But thanks
There's nothing wrong, that's completely normal. That's how deferred MSAA acts in every game ever.
This makes MSAA unusable and effectively dead for me.
@AXE I assume you also enabled MSAA 8x? Good idea, now try 4K and MSAA 8x. It's not really maxed out if it's not 4K!
Contact hardening shadows IMO look worse than the normal ones and they tank the framerate. But some poople will still enable them to "max" the game and then complain about performance.
I've posted the same things several times and nobody listens.
CHS look like shit and tank framerate. I'm running the most powerful graphics card in the world, yet still disabled them.
Yeah contact hardening appears completely broken for distance world shadows. When I get home later, I think I will turn it off. Losing distance shadows like that is not too great looking in spite of some of the nicer funktions CHS technically should have. I noticed with CHS on I did get better micro shadowing in some instance in comparison to the default with it off (bricks on the side of buldings for example, have better selfshadows). I will make a comparison of what I mean later.
If anyone's thinking about using CHS, consider this:

Not only it looks like blurry shit (personal preference, I know it's more "realistic" but I still don't like it - as a gamer I am conditioned that sharp shadows = best shadows)
Not only it tanks the framerate
In addition to this, it also does not render the shadows at a distance at all (look at the distand building), making the game world look flatter.
So yeah, good option overall, gg AMD!

TAA is a blurry mess but it works well. Same thing with Fallout unfortunately.
The Sharpen filter is a good idea to bring some of the sharpness back, but the Sharpen filter here is EXTREMELY aggressive. They need to tone it down a notch.
AA disabled.

I know.. she doesn't even seem like a real person
It's almost as if she actually was an AI...

So how much of the game is the crowded busy areas like in the benchmark?
Was getting around ~50fps at 1440p with heavy things off (3570k 980ti), but the prologue chapter was mostly 70s fps.
Are you guys really going with this angle or are just joking? Because Eliza is supposed to look exactly like a real person to the world, so the lyp sinc isn't exactly intended.
It's not like the other characters have good lyp sinc anyway.

Depends on how much you have to offer I think. I have 16GB and it sits around 10.This game like RAM, even 16GBs seems to not be enough for Ultra preset:

Will I be in trouble with my 8gb ?
