Im gonna guess that type:null and UB01 are like marowak on pokemon 1, like, you wont know the name until you use an item to identify them...

Can't wait to see these beautiful assets in HD on the NX!

;)

A boy can dream...

If the NX is a hybrid (and that seems likely.)
AND the DS family goes the way of the Game Boy family...

We will get our HD pokemon game by generation 8! I will be so happy. It's been a long time coming.

Jangmo-o is just adorable.

I'm up to 8 Pokemon to use now.

Ehh, I doubt it. Type: Null is a synthetic Pokemon and it explains why it is named Null, I don't know what there would be a "real" name other than the one it's creators use for it. And with UB01 I'm pretty sure it's real name will be the name of the human it transforms into, but it won't have a Pokemon species name because it isn't a Pokemon.

Man, putting a team together this time is going to be so difficult. Naming aside, I'm really digging Type: Null, and (the likely psuedo) Jangmo-o.

I have no idea what the heck to make of the Ultra Beasts. They're really going out there this time.

And Aether is likely the true baddies, yeah.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Lusamine has a giant Z Crystal on her chest for some reason.

Seems like the plot this time around will get pretty nutty.

So we can see in the Japanese trailer that Gladion has a Type: Null. Seems fitting that a guy with a name like "gladiator" has a Pokemon with a helmet resembling a Roman centurion.

...and I just realized I haven't shared my thoughts on today's news. I agree with you guys that Aether will probably end up being a cult and the real villains of the story. It'd be great if Team Skull ends up working with you to stop Aether.

Type: Null and Jangmo-o continue the trend of interesting new names that started with Tapu Koko being two separate words. Both Pokemon have AWESOME designs. Type: Null looks like the new logo for Kojima Productions, haha.

I really like Alolan Raticate. He's adorable! According to his description, he's so chubby because he lives in the city and lets his Rattata bring back food for him to eat.

No idea what to make of Ultra Beasts. There's probably a link with Lillie, as you guys noted, but... are these Pokemon? Or something that's non-human/non-Pokemon but that can also pose an existential threat and be battled all the same?

I also like the detail of how Sun is the same time as where you live but Moon is always 12 hours ahead. So if you play Moon during the day, it'll be night in the game, and if you play Moon at night, it'll be day. This setup is nice for people who only have free time to game at night but want to see more of the game during the day, etc.

Since I mostly game at night, but like my tropical settings during the day, I'm now leaning toward Moon. I've also taken a liking to Lunala and I think I prefer to battle Alolan Raticate as a totem Pokemom.

Oh, and that Cutiefly evolution! I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it. I'm surprised TPC slipped up and revealed a new Pokemon by accident.

Is UB-01 a Pokemon? Is the Zygarde larva a Pokemon or an item?

And lol, I thought Null was going to be a new typing
The Zygarde cells cannot fight on their own, so they are effectively items. Presumably when you collect enough of them you will "catch" Zygarde 10% and 50%, which can be used as Pokemon proper.

And same. Type: Null is very confusing, especially as it is just thrown out in the English trailer with no pomp or circumstance.

Honestly I don't even think it was an accident, I'm expecting it to be either the new Pokemon Famitsu's showing later this week or in CoroCoro.

I expected something more different, to be honest.

From the Japanese trailer, I guess Drifloon and Misdreavus are version exclusives. I wonder what new pokemon are version exclusives

Type: Null is an awkward name. Since it's clearly artificial, my head canon is:
"We've finally done it, we've created a typeless Pokémon, and we shall call it type null!"
"Sir, I think it's a normal ty-"
"Calling it type null."

Weird that its helmet looks a little like arceus's wheel with a bit of zygarde thrown in.

Ultra beasts are intriguing. Do you think we'll still get to catch them? Between this and totem mons I think game freak are trying something fan game makers have been failing at since gen 3 - making single monster boss fights that actually work with Pokémon's mechanics.

Also immediately jumping on the aether as tall evil team train.

Gluttony makes perfect sense for Alola Ratticate.

An interesting thing about Type:Null:

The mask fitted to Type: Null’s head is a piece of equipment designed to control its latent powers. It’s extremely heavy, so it also serves to hinder Type: Null’s agility.

To complete a certain mission, there was need of a Pokémon powerful enough to rival those Pokémon often spoken of in mythology.

I wonder if it has a form change/evolution that removes its helmet as what we are seeing now is a suppressed form. I think we may be looking at one of the Pseudo-Legendaries or a Artificial Mythical Pokemon as it is said that the pokemon was designed to combat those pokemon in mythology (Mythical Pokemon). I reckon a non-helmet form/evolution may end up having a 600BST like those said Mythical Pokemon it was supposed to rival.

I like the connection with Dexio and Sina returning from Pokemon X/Y and them being the ones to give you the Zygarde Core. Wonder what other Kalos residents will make an appearance.

I'm guessing wonder trade isn't coming back? That thing was amazing.

Who said it's not coming back? We currently have no info about the online features of the game, besides the online sharing of Poké Finder photos, as far as I know. Wonder trade has been in all games since they implemented it. It wouldn't make sense to remove it now.

The Aether Foundation is entirely suspect. I mean, they have two admins, their own grunts and a leader? They're practically a Team!

Also, isn't Wicke another flower name?
