NRS getting they shit together

I wish they treated CPT like a real event wrap up show or something. Go over results, matches, serious breakdowns of matches. Talk about patch notes, upcoming events, get TOs on there. Do stuff to promote the game and the scene.

I guess I just want more stuff like UltraChen, haha.

That's what they should have be doing. Talking about actual pro stuff.

Best of III is live. Markman is this week's guest along with a special guest.

What? Who wants to talk about pro stuff in cpt, it's all about the Mike Ross is the worst SF player ever meme

Who wants to talk pro stuff in a show called Pro Talk? The people who keep asking if there's a show each week for starters.

It's a 1 hour show, so there's plenty of time for Mike Ross meme stuff after you get the important stuff out of the way. It would go a long way to keep people informed about the pro tour that they have by actually talking about it on the show.

That's my problem with it. Seems to be mostly a har, har, meme show. Talk about the Pro FGC stuff. Get people excited, informed, and anticipating the next event.

It's been Capcom Floe Talk with the occasional guest. I don't mind the meme stuff, but there needs to be some pro talk in there somewhere.

God damnit, I just called Best of III underrated in here and now Daily Dot is shutting the whole esports section down.

That's exactly what Bo3 was! They just had Zhi and Markman on today.
And I really liked their recaps. They don't miss anything but keep it short.

Daily Dot going down was hella telegraphed though. Nobody should be shocked that it ended. However I hope best of 3 can find some way to continue.

Wow, daily dot went down the hole?

All the big talent got scooped up in other operations and they had a declining base. It was fated. It might be a shock from the fighting game side but if you followed esports in general there were warning signs nearly a year ago.

That said best of 3 I think will get something new up.

Ahh, so it was only a matter of when. Not like it matters, I think there are a ton of other publications that give good exposure to fighting games. Honestly, I prefer Red Bull over Daily Dot.

I like the show they had. I think they can make something happen and have a show similar if not the same just not daily dot themed.

There are publications, but the show itself was something special

Round 1 will have Tekken 7 at all locations, but no notice of which versions. (AKA, could be vanilla, could be FR).

It turns out that the Middle East will host a Capcom Pro Tour event after all.

Capcom announced on Monday that Dubai's Geek Weekend, which will take place on Oct. 7 and 8, will be part of the Pro Tour. The event replaces GAMES16, another Dubai event which was the lone Middle Eastern stop of the 2016 Pro Tour season.

GAMES16, Dubai's annual gaming convention, was originally scheduled to take place this week. On Aug. 30 organizers postponed the convention until 2017, citing an unfavorable game release schedule as the reason. The postponement effectively cancelled the event’s Pro Tour tournament.

Daily Dot is ded

Nooooooo

Top 3 show in the fgc is now dead.

NOOOOOOO, this was actually my favorite show. I love CPT(as in Talk) and UltrachenTV, but when it comes down to it the only FG that I love watching and playing is SF. Sure DailyDot covered a lot of things, but they put a huge focus on SFV and the CPT and they did it pretty professionally. They broke down the standings, player performances, and discussed what needs to happen for certain players to get back in the race or to be in contention to make it. Basically what ThatCrazyGuy was talking about.

Capcom Pro Talk feels like a FG sit-com if that makes any sense. Still fun to watch, but not where I'd go for serious coverage of the CPT. UltraChen doesn't try to put too much focus on any particular game and don't go as in depth as the Daily Dot did. I remember talking about how I wished we had a breakdown show for the CPT last year. Daily Dot basically became that show and now they're gone.
