That's really nice.

That's trolling again isn't it?
Yesterday an Axe (NX)
Today some rumors and all of a sudden they publish a new video...something sure is cooking...

Nintendo Europe tweeted a new video. 1min23 clip showing off cooking.

Edit: Now on Youtube in a playlist I made, includes all the other clips of Zelda: BotW Nintendo has released so far.

Love the way he hums and celebrates as his food is cooked, and that satisfied smile when he eats! Also that sheepish head rub when he gets it wrong with the 'dubious food' hahahah! Man, Link's character animations and expressions in this game look great. Just watching this new vid has me pumped!

That Blue Bokoblin did 3 hearts of damage in one hit.

You can get OHKO'd by regular mobs at the start of the game, in the starting area.

On normal difficulty.

God damn.

Shame the red bokoblins only do 1/4 heart damage. Feels like way too big a gap.

Can't wait for this to be called "too easy" again once people actually get their hands on it. Seen way too many overhyped expectations already with how brutal/etc it's gonna be so the only way this goes is massive disappointments when the routine settles in.

The thing I'm most worried about when it comes to difficulty is motivating me to think strategically when battling. Like, yeah, it's fun to plan attacks and pull them off, but I want there to be serious detriments to trying to just rush head-on into a pack of enemies because it will force me to think differently. My brain is not programmed to do things just because, I'm always going to try solving problems as quickly and efficiently as possible even if the solutions are "boring".

I feel lthe he the only time you'd need to be smart is when you run out of weapons. Dunno how often that would happen seeing as how they're so easy to get. But that's just for the early game enemies, dunno about others yet.

Hopefully, with this one it won't be a problem because you can kind of control the difficulty.

Too easy? Don't wear armor.
Too hard? Collect a lot of food and cook the best dishes for better heart refills.

I found Skyward Sword very easy, so what I did was not buy any potions. So every time I faced a hard enemy, I was scared of losing and many times I found myself scavenging for hearts, Zelda 1 style.

That's not controlling difficulty, that's voluntarily handicapping yourself and ignoring game mechanics.

in other words, taking it upon yourself to control difficulty!

no different from a 3 heart run in other zelda games. the option is always there if you want a challenge.

Or selecting "hard" in a menu and having options taken away from you that are otherwise there or multiplying damage. I've never understood the beef people have with player-controlled difficulty when the tools are there.

The game mechanics in question exist explicitly to balance the game.

So approaching them in the way that balances the game for your level of skill is 100% a valid, correct, and intended use of the game's mechanics.

The game has more than 100 shrines. But you probably don't need to complete them all. In fact, it might be more fun to see how few shrines you can complete and still finish the game.

I never pick up potions in Ocarina of Time. Why? Because I don't need to.

You don't need to buy 99 potions in Final Fantasy. But you can if you feel you need to.

We would see more of this game during the time between last E3 and Release.
Now we are about 2months and a half past E3, and we still see nothing new of this game...

It's because we're waiting for the NX reveal.

It's because the game isn't out till next year.

This is completely normal. September is when Nintendo fans always get super antsy with "OMG Y N NO TALK ABOUT GAME XYZ" that's coming out the same Holiday.

It's the exact same song and dance every year.

Anyone else think they might delay the WiiU version a month just like they did with TP on the Gamecube?

No because they said explicitly they would launch at the same time.

Yeah, I mean that's all fine. But as someone who likes to explore every mechanic of a game and not have to limit myself, I really hope we get a hero mode off the bat in this one.

But they explicitly said TP was coming out on day 1 for GC/Wii then delayed it around a month before release.

Expect a delay for wiiu kids

Yup. That's probably when we'll see the game next. (Along with a solid release date if it still releases in March or another delay.)

Ohh boy. People will not tolerate ANOTHER delay of this game. I will totally not... I mean, I bought a damn Wii U on launch day just with the thought of playing the new Zelda there. 5 years later and still nothing ?? NoPEEEEE.

You got new Zelda day one. :D

New rules: no complaining about lack of new Zelda if you like Skyward Sword and didn't 100% Battle Quest.

No complaining about lack of new Metroid if you like Metroid Prime and didn't 100% Metroid Blast.

No complaining about new 2D Pikmin if you like Pikmin and didn't 100% Pikmin Adventure.

Yup. You can pause the action to eat so it'll still be easy.

They can't delay a game without a release date.

Remember that the only official date we have is 2017. Not March. Just 2017.

No it's not. They're waiting to reveal the NX to talk about Zelda more. They're going to tie in marketing with the NX version and forget all about the Wii U version of BotW. Circumstances are different here.

I think you two are essentially in agreement, unless I misunderstood. You're both right. No point discussing Zelda further till the NX reveal. Also, no expectation for Nintendo to discuss Zelda further until Fall at the earliest.

Yeah, but a bunch of people on a message board said they wanted it in March. Then they started telling each other that it's rumored for March. Then they started telling each other it's almost certainly March. So that basically is a commitment from Nintendo that they are now beholden to.

You're forgetting the part where Nintendo's press site actually listed it for March.
