Rumor: Destiny 2 coming to PC

I love Destiny. The Taken King fixed gear issues (and change a bunch of other stuff making the game much better). As much as I would prefer to carry gear over, I trust that changes would improve the experience like it did with The Taken King.

I think it would be cool to keep the old areas/strikes/raids around in some way. Patrolling the new areas was way more interesting, and I'm sure new areas will be even more interesting. Even if they are there and not really useful/utilized, it would make the game feel that much bigger. I don't care about social spaces, get rid of the old and integrate towns into new spaces. Maybe it would too much disc/hdd space. But, I'd love to keep the old stuff on existence... at least for people who own Destiny 1.

Losing my character and progress once Destiny 2 rolled around would kill the entire series for me.
I know of a lot of people that left Destiny when The Taken King came out because of the "reset." They kept their keep gear, but it was effectively 50% power in PVE. I'm sure a lot more people would leave with a full reset where all gear is lost. Not that I'm one of those people... I really like how The Taken King improved the game and trust that any changes in a new game will do the same.

I would like Bungie to add a 3rd Person mode to Destiny 2. I like using swords because I can see my character. Would like to be able to do that all the time.

At least a 3rd person pvp mode.

Yes please. The fact that there are systems in place already is frustrating why they don't just make it an option

I don't much expect to keep anything, really. Because honestly, how many online games let you keep stuff sequel to sequel?

I figure shift to new engine, possible timeskip/world advancement, etc. New weapons/armor/heck maybe even new classes and stats.

The systems in place are only for melee weapons. They can't just pull the camera out from first person mode and have all the systems and animations for the shooter elements work.

What's the meaning of starting with top tier gear...?

I'm not necessarily of the opinion that the game should let me continue with my current gear but that the idea of my character's "legend" should carry over. The moments of triumph from the past two years and the idea that my character has directly contributed to the fate of the last city isn't something that I want pushed aside.

That said, I do not have a problem with the current infusion system. Changes to the sandbox keep me cycling through gear anyways.

My guardians are such non-characters I really don't mind if I have to recreate their faces in what will probably be a more intricate character creation system in Destiny 2. More so than any other rpg-class game, I find no attachment to my class, race, or gear (which is always shifting in Destiny anyways).

The ghost is more of my character than anything.

If losing all this means we get a higher caliber game with fleshed out playspaces, engaging story, and generally something closer to what we were promised in the lead up to the first game then I say good riddance and bring on Destiny 2.

Would be happy if my character could get some serious plastic surgery.

I really didn't like how my characters' faces turned out in the actual game, but since I knew I'd never really see them I decided not to reroll them early on, unlike all the others character creation games I've played.
